Help me wire a new doorbell pusher

My doorbell has packed up and on removing the the old bell push it was obvious it was knackered, rusted inside.

Stupoidly I removed it but did not take a not of which 2 wired were connected too the rear of the pusher.

So, which two wires do I need to connect to the new bell push?

Im guessing the red and the white!

At a guess the red and white due to them being the longest pair, however if you look inside the house where they connect from you’ll have your definite answer.

The whole lot of wire goes behind the door frame and behind the walls to a fuse box and then onto the door bell, so cant really tell what wires go where.

    I thought bells were 12v?
If it’s wired via a fuse box, have you checked the fuse?

If that doorbell is wired direct to a fusebox he has more problems than it not going ding dong.
