Cleaned and fully Brushed not polished .
Say what?
And not one decent pic among the 8 posted.
You could always pop to Norwich to have a look.
I am in the market for an explorer 2 and have come across one on eBay. I am unable to view it at the moment due to a family issue but hoped the more knowledgable on here might be able to point out anything obvious.

Thanks in advance.

Mmmm I'm no Explorer expert but advert says "all papers with box" but I don't see any of the original Rolex papers which I'd want for that sort of money or Rolex authentication through proper service to prove its a good'un. One good thing TZ has taught me, if in any doubt walk away there's plenty out there.
Edited to say, I've just seen the chronometer cert but I'd want more substantiation than that.

There’s a great adage among the watch forums, “Buy the seller, then the watch.”
It may be the lighting, but the crown side of the watch looks like it has had its "chrome plating" rubbed off.
Also, note how the date window magnification is conveniently obscured. Deliberate? It would be enough for me to click on my mouse and look elsewhere...
The chrono cert doesn't quite look right? It looks very shiny paper and I thought there should be the serial number on the front.
The picture is only of the front too.
I may well be talking rubbish but I would need a bit more info if it was me.

I intent to speak to the seller to obtain as much information as possible and to see if he has the purchase receipt from when he bought it. I assume it was purchased from Bradley Hatch Jewellers Norwich from the images who sell pre owned items, it is also local to the seller location.
I would definitely be speaking to Bradley Hatch about it.
All the paperwork is from different but close dates. The timekeeping was done by tic-toc-man in London very close to the inspection date but by a different person in another part of the country.
Seems a bit "put together" to me.
Regards, Si.
That's All Folks
Unless it's a trick of the light the sides of the lugs, on the crown side, look like they've got a hammered finish. Weird.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
They are a business seller and are offering 14 days right of return. Where is the risk?
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
I would be dubious buying off eBay personally.
You really shouldn’t even be entertaining the thought of buying this one.
Spend a couple of hundred quid more and buy this one from Haywood.

After chatting with the owner I will be giving the watch a miss.
Firstly the watch was bought from eBay 2 years ago after he sold his sub due to the crown breaking and being too expensive to fix. Then a few minutes later the watch came via a friend of a friend. The jewellers card (Bradley Hatch) in the image checked the watch over after he purchased it, where it was polished as well for £100 as the jewellers are also a friend of the family!
Finally he does not really need to sell the watch as quote “he’s not short of money” but will take an offer if I am prepared to purchase outside of eBay.
None of it adds up to me!
Edit: Bradley Hatch the jewellers offered him £3700 for it so I would imagine after the eBay fees he would not be far off so why go to the trouble.

Wow, I agree that is 100% the right thing to do.
This one is going to be dodgy for sure.
I don’t get how anyone in this day & age can take such poor photos unless on purpose. Utter tool.

They must be a good friend of the family to offer 3700. Agreed with the consensus here. I find Ebay isn’t great for 16570s, I’ve been looking myself!

Watch in the pictures is defenitely genuine. The rest... I don't know. I don't know what that damage on the lugs might be. Looks weird to me.
Looks like listing has just been ended!
Maybe the friend of the family at the jewellers upped the offer and bought it!
