Sending expensive watch to U.S advice required

Hi, hope you don't mind helping a lapsed member. I have sold a watch on E-Bay for way above what I expected to get for it! The problem is it's to expensive for Ebay's Global Shipping Program. It won't let the buyer pay for it. So what is the most secure way to send a £2,500 watch to the U.S? I've sent cheaper watches all over the world via Royal Mail with out problem but nothing at this level.
Many thanks in advance, really apreiciate any advice.

Try here - else there is 'Advanced Search' on this forum which shows this has been discussed multiple times.

Great stuff, thank you. Think the chap might be sorting it from his end.

Are you 100% sure it’s legit? An item going for more than you would expect and shipped abroad are two red flags for a scam. I would never shop a 4 figure watch to someone abroad through eBay...

Mik - I would insure it yourself, else you could end up losing £000's - not rely on the receiver.

Many thanks for the advice, I've decided to go with DHL who seem to one of the few main stream companies who you can fully insure with. So fingers crossed all goes smoothly.
