Excellent as ever Jocke. My two favourites - the turquoise Gronefeld and the new Sarpaneva which is exquisite!

Thanks for posting that, some stunning watches. I found myself liking the Tags and that's something I thought I would never say. Those Hublots look like wrist size pinball tables, very strange.

Wouldn't say no to a Rolex meteorite and sorry, but a green Aquanaut doesn't hit the spot for me.

The chips and gravy looked nice 👍

Thanks Jocke. Only the Rolex and some of the Tudors appeal to me. There's some monstrosities in that lot.

Enjoyed that, and have major food envy now. My beer and schnitzel supplies are at an all time low

Thanks for posting - I'm quite hungry now! Some of those watches are quite stunning; and I dare say so far out of my price range that I won't even ask

Thanks for taking the time to put together a great post. Was there a particular reason for the drop in numbers this year?

Thought for a moment that you had caught me in the background of the blue porsche picture,

Out of interest did they have the new 36mm Datejust on display?

With so many weird and wonderful designs on show, your images really illustrate how uninspiring the mainstream manufacturers are.

Just another thank you to ad to the list.

Great to see some more interesting pieces and brands than the usual coverage.

Thanks Jocke - I much prefer to see these high quality pics than read some of the massive articles about Basel. Some wonderful stuff in there

Indeed, can only echo the thanks. (Plenty of comment on this elsewhere but I can't decide whether a two-tone SD or a green Aquanaut is the more bonkers.)

Joche. Amazing show of what is out there - and how limited view we can get - such a shame some of these more esoteric brands are not seen on our high streets. Some of those are soooo left field they’ve come back in the other side. Those Rolex are so boring!

    Superb effort as always

  38. #38
Fantastic as always and good to see some of the more uncommon brands.

And that is a most impressive beard!

    Great post. Thanks.

I found this year’s offerings a little (and in some cases a not so little) underwhelming. But it’s still interesting to see where manufacturers are taking us.

Thanks Jock, a wonderful journey as always.

Impressive beard, I have some way to go with mine ...

What surprised me the most - the hole in the train headrest.

Thanks Jocke, always enjoy your Basel post. I do like the Sarpenvas and some of those Moser dials are just sublime.
