I assume the same business man can also afford a model to manage his diary. I like a complication but this is pretty pointless.

I think I prefer my 5146 - but would like to see one of those in the flesh.

Im fortunate in that I have handled most all Pateks and continue to handle them weekly and with our doubt the 2 that stand out head and shoulder above all others for fit, form, and feel are the 5990 and 5980R.

That said that’s a nice complication and a great choice to have if thinking about a Calatrava style watch

I like that too, suspect it won’t matter because the price may give me palpitations and the wife a tighter grip on the credit card. However much it costs.

It’s an interesting move for patek and one I think is very good. Cheaper price as steel, quirky look to make it stand out and maybe attract a different customer, all to draw people into what the brand is really about. So good to see patek being discussed for something other than a nautilus or aquanaut. From all the chatter this could do well and it deserves to.

I like this one a lot. I made some enquiries with ADs in the UK but was given short shrift given my lack of track record with each of them (which is fair enough).

53 seems a bit daft, but otherwise like the idea and execution

I like it and if the price is around £25k, that could also be a good long term investment. I don't need it now but the business week indicator would have been a Godsend when I was working.

    Nice one.

Had the chance to try on of these on at the traveling Patek roadshow that came to Berry's in Newcastle.

I really liked the watch (apart from the strap, which I think should be a Croc). The handwritten elements to the dial give it some character and it is certainly understated.

When I inquired as to avablibilty there was already a heafty list which I suppose is no great surprise!

One thing I was surprised by however, was that as far as I could see the watch would need adjusting at the end of each month, which given the price, you might have expected a slightly more complicated piece.

Sorry for the lack of pictures but I was passing and went in on the off chance, so didn't get chance to take any.

To sum up a loverly watch but likely to be as rare as hen teeth unless you have a vault of previous patek purchases!

    Love it.

And it bemuses me that I have lived so many well educated years and still have to remind myself that Febuary is spelt February (with two 'r's). Catches me out every time and just looks somehow wrong with the two r's.

Anyway, lovely and I love the font.

Really like this piece, even if the complication is of no use to me

It was by far and away the most 'fun' of the watches in the display, which included the full line up of Nautilus, Aquanaught etc.

One thing I did note was the reduction in the variants of the Calatrava range so it may be that these are produced in larger numbers . I will patainetly await a call .

Has anyone else had a handle of one?

I like the complication, I like the "handwritten" dial, I like the size and I like the fact it is steel. I enquired when it was released and basically told it would be highly unlikely but my interest had been noted. Did however try a 5524G and a 5524R yesterday and have to say liked them quite a bit, especially the R!

Yet another lazy watch from PP. The case is way too big for the movement, the complication is pointless and the dial is busy and (IMO) unattractive.

That’s stunning. Like that a lot. That for me could be a one watch collection.

As others have said the dial is way to busy for me personally

Not to mention the stupidly high price for a steel watch...

I really didn't want to like this but this is one complication that's useful if you work with people who deal in week numbers.

Having said that I just turn week numbers on in Outlook and my problems are solved and I can save myself tens of thousands that I didn't have in the first place.
