G-Shock GMW B5000 Full steel (positive display) on rubber. Opinions?

I got my G-Shock GMW B5000 Full steel last Christmas. I love it but found it a bit too heavy and blingy. I just got a rubber strap for it. What do you guys think?
I know there is the B5000-1 rubber, but I don't like the negative display as I find it difficult to read.
Do you guys think the positive display sits fine with the rubber?

May I ask how much was the strap?

That looks really well on the rubber strap, I prefer this to the polished original bracelet.

Since you’re canvassing opinions, I don’t know if the new strap addresses the bling, or just takes it in a different direction. The integration of case and bracelet has always been a fundamental part of G-Shock, to my mind.

I got it for around $600 Hong Kong dollars here.

The bling from the case is fine. I'm just gauging opinions on the positive display and rubber strap combo.

I have the B5000 on Rubber with negative display and much prefer it to the blingy bracelet version. I normally struggle with negative displays too but Casio have done a great job with this model as it’s always easy to read.

Yeah I kinda like the negative display too, but I'm not going to sell this just for the negative display. I guess it's kind of a special edition now.

No I don't unfortunately. They're sold out everywhere it seems. I got this in a small Casio/Seiko shop here in Hong Kong.
