Such a shame, a great voice. I particularly liked the Jacques Brel stuff he did.

The Walker Brothers were hitting the Charts as I was entering the Marine Corps. I was enamored with their vocals, Scott Walker's in particular. I was a big fan!
RIP, Scott Walker.
His later stuff was pretty avante garde . Farmer in the City and Lemon Bloody Colaspring to mind. Was all the rage when I was at Art College in the 90s. Bit of an aquired taste but interesting and unique.
The four solo LPs from the late Sixties are a magnificent body of work.
A bit like Brian Wilson, in that his musical genius evolved beyond the bounds of widespread accessibility.
