Miss my 249 nicest panerai I ever owned

Pretty certain the soul was sold long ago.
They need to move with the modern times & I get DNA etc.
47mm is way to big for the majority of it's wearers, hell even the 44mm are.
I'll comprise on 42mm but feel Panerai are moving away from this and heading to 44 or 40mm for Luminors & 45mm for Radiomirs
Bit of orange 1226 action

My first 47mm sub arrived today :o) If anyone has a spare 26mm rubber strap, please drop me a PM.

I'm guessing you're not a fan of the new 1349 then?
To be honest, I'm not sure what to make of it. A California dial in 45mm will probably appeal to many, but the new case finish is maybe taking faked patina a little too far? And a price of £10,600
I'm interested to hear what everyone else thinks
FYI - Hodinkee quoted about the case finish "Brunito, meanwhile, refers to a new hand-finishing that Panerai has developed with an outside partner. The eSteel case, bezel and caseback are first coated in a very thin, black PVD layer. Then a polishing brush is used to burnish away the black PVD, slowly revealing the eSteel below and producing a kind of weathered look. It's a delicate process: Too much and you end up with a regular steel watch, too little and you've got a black one. Production times vary by polisher and skill, but we're told for this 45mm case and components it takes between 30 to 60 minutes to hand finish one." - from https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/th...mir-california
I suppose the brunito cased watches will all be different,I’m a fan and would love to see this on a luminor case .

I like the case material. That’s about it.
The new ones all leave me cold. The 40mm rad are aimed at the Asia market.
I’ve got no issues with the new stuff because you have a choice.
But a 40mm 372 equivalent for me is a big no. Buy a 390.

And another…..
After years on the Panerai sidelines, it’s my second in a week thanks to the powers of the TZ-UK WTB
Zero, the watch I promised myself a decade ago.
Thrilled

I love this new California on the paper, in 45mm it is perfect for me (I can get away with 47 but it is substantial on the wrist!).
That being said, over 10k for the sake of recycled steel, and a knackered pvd coating?? If I could get the watch with regular steel and a pvd coating I can knacker myself for half the price, then yes please.
This one and the 1350 are the two picks of the bunch for me, the prices are hard to justify though imho, and I am saying that as a bit of a Pam fan
Dug out this old favourite for today.

Is that the 932?

I’m a very recent convert to Panerai but absolutely love them now.
Can anyone shed some light on this rubber Velcro strap that came with my PAM24?
I have a 24 and the Velcro has no rubber on it ,and my last 24 never had any rubber on it either.

After a tip off it appears to be a OEM coramid rubber/Velcro strap that is out of production.

112 on blue rubber for me today
Carbotech on blue strapsco rubber strap. For the £13 the strap actually cost was surprised with the quality. A few minor flaws but for the £147 saved over OEM can’t complain.
