Not a big amount in it but i think the 233 "wears" slightly bigger as there is less going on on the dial. case is obviously same size!!

177 has arrived, decided on the Ti version rather than a 111 as prefer the brushed finish and also have the SS covered with the 590.

Now to get it on to leather and off this awful rubber

Looks good. Crying out for a nice brown strap. What’s the weight like?

Re weight, not as light as i thought it would be, feels reassuringly solid and you know its on the wrist.

That’s good to here because I keep looking at the titanium subs and I’m worried that they will be to light.

That looks much better on that strap. Enjoy.

Hi guys - looking for some strap advice. I’ve spent an hour swapping my 243 onto different straps and I’ve found the leather and velcro so damn... chunky. I know these are bigger watches but I feel these straps make the watch considerably larger and a bit ungainly...

Any advice on straps which work on PAMs that are a little more slimline? Interested in all styles to be honest. Thanks in advance!

Toshi does a slimmer horween strap. It’s 2.5mm thick rather than his unusual 4mm.

Give Pavel (Pav79 on here or Neptune straps on Instagram) a shout. I had the same issue with my last Pam and Pav will sort you out. Great guy, top custom straps at a good price.

I have worn my 243 on a couple of different canvas straps, maybe more of a summer thing, but they are slimmer than most of my leather ones. I also would have a look at NATOs, some hate them but I think they really suit.
I am in work tonight but will post some pics tomorrow to give you a better idea.

Is an Erikas worth a look?

I got a 6309 recently with an Erikas attached, was a revelation!

The elastic straps are possibly the best for comfort strap I've found, if for no other reason than you can always have the strap exactly as you would like it tensioned. Closest after these is a good bracelet with micro adjustment. Erica's are nice but don't know they are $$$ nice (I have no personal experience of one. Just comparing my sub €20 elastic strap's comfort with the Erica price)

  18. #618
I've got a couple of 24mm Nick Mankey elastic straps, and they're great - I wear one on my LandMaster. There's a thread in Leather, Rubber and Nylon.

Lovey shade of blue and combination of red and blue is attractive but not fond of a rally strap on this kind of watch.

Hi, what model is this please?

Do you know if there is a brushed titanium version?

  27. #627
I've had quite a few Panerai in my time, but down to just 4 now...... owned all of them for at least 10 years now and can't imagine letting any of them go. They all offer something a bit different (to me anyway)

    233 - dot dial

24 - this is a "C" so tritium lume and a 12 click polished bezel. I've owned a more recent 24, but the older ones are so much nicer IMO

87 - this is a bit of a lump but it's beautiful - oxidised hands and all

and finally my Zero. This is probably my favourite

This is a 372, there’s not a titanium version of this particular model. The model this one is based on the 127 1950 aka the Fiddy, had a mix of brushed & polished case finishes but in steel. The closest in titanium would be the 368 1950 destro in terms of styling afaik.
The only other luminors I know of in titanium would be the 352 & the 913. I’m sure some of the more knowledgable members will be along soon with more.

    Thanks for the info.
I had a feeling there wasn't a titanium version. Not sure about a destro.
I had a 320 but fancy a manual wind as I believe they are a bit thinner.

ahhhhhhh my first ever panerai was a 177, fell it love with the brand after that and seeing the 089 and the 212, i used to mis pronounce it pan airy, how embarrassing

since then must have been through 40 models , i think i'm down to 15 now with 12 i actually wear, there are still a couple i would get, funds allowing

The 233 looks great on that yellow strap, I might have to look out for one to out on on of my black dialled watches.

All from the era that matters in my book - up to 2010 was Panerai at its finest. Good to see you back here Toshi and it seems you're still churning out cracking straps!

That's a top selection there Rich
I'd be more than happy with any of those although I have to confess the 24/25 never really did anything for me
My first was a new 'H' serial zero in 2006 which I had to let go but was replaced with a 'J' T dial 243 which again I let go (my biggest selling regret to date)
my only Panerai at the moment is my 112 which I haven't worn for a long time due to the lock down etc.

    So a gratuitous pic in appreciation...my 112

Nice collection. I have bought and sold two 000s, love the simplicity of them, but I just can’t get on with the polished steel. I think I’ll replace it one day with a 176/177. I just love the matt finish of titanium. Currently two titanium PAMs a 352 and a 389.

WOW!! Excellent choice, i had a 194 for a few weeks back in 2020 and loved it, the thickness was just a tad too much for me though so ended up chopping it in for a 305. Looking at this i'm now not sure i made the right choice.

There is air inside the watch - it isn't a vacuum inside
