Anyone have any of the rose gold Panerai models? I have a significant birthday coming up soon and was looking for something special. I have been looking at the PAM01112 which looks stunning but am a little nervous that it will get scratched to hell really quickly and won’t look nice for long.

I’ll probably get a due next as I like the colour combos. Plus I did see the YouTube tour says the dye have been tested to 200M. I think they are considering giving them a better depth rating now they’re confident they’re way more that 30M. Suits me, I just want pool assurance!
The blue dial looks really good in the photo

Picked this lovely 422 up today from a very nice member. Good to have a Panerai back on the wrist.

Class. I like how the due sits. If it gets done in at least 100m guise I’d snap one up.

    Already regretting it………. :-(

Hope you enjoy it Martyn, it’s certainly a stunning watch, no doubt I’ll end up with one again, just have to scratch the bigger sub ( than my 42mm) itch.

    422 is a great PAM.
Old school style today, if not actually that old. On Kostas strap.

Have been without an "historic" 47mm since I let the 127 go earlier this year. Rob was good enough to lend me his 372 for a few days and I have to tell you it feels great. So, going to have to start the hunt for a 372...........I think.

Not everyone’s cup of tea but on my small wrist I am enjoying the panerai styling in a smaller case

    Any thoughts anyone ?

Having done some research they use a thing called ‘goldtech’ that has gold, coper and some platinum. Supposed to make it a bit more hard wearing and scratch resistant but I guess they would say that and I have no idea if it’s actually true!

    Avoid that “Goldtech” nonsense and get a proper PM piece like my PAM576;

That is very nice to be fair and looks inn nice condition. What’s ‘nonsense’ about the goldtech stuff? I want to buy a new watch and that seems to be all they do nowadays.

Nothing, it's 18 carat so still a proper PM, just a slightly different composition of the other metals.

I had a 231 for a few years, had been a grail for a long time, but at 45mm I found the case just that shade small.
Sadly I don't have any photos as they were all on my old Samsung which died a year ago.

Apologies, my use of the word "nonsense" was probably a bit over the top but as a long time Panerai fan I just feel they have really lost their way badly thanks to Richemont in recent years. I'd still seek out an older PAM if it's what you really want and I'd also echo the 321 recommendation too.

  18. #1718
Recently saw a 140 in the flesh ,photo’s really don’t do it any justice .
    Also a 47mm gold ,similar to your 576,it was a 3@@ ,was great .

A little reminder that relatively small and not 'classical' can be beautiful:

Looks good that, suits your wrist well. It's nice that people like me lacking bear wrists can get in on the PAM action as well. I assume Panerai's marketing team probably put it differently than I just did though :-)

Do you also get a rubber strap in the packaging as well, or is that just the Quaranta range and not the Due?

Thank you, I like it and proportions on my wrist looks right to me too

No rubber with these but I got a blue and grey strap “thrown” in and was a good price in the sale too

Goldsmith's in Vic Square in Belfast are now stocking Panerai. First time in NI and a good stock to browse. I tried on the 1226 and a few carbotech subs. They were unwilling to offer any discount so I passed.

I’d love to see a SOTC, Gareth.

I’d check out the 289 that is 47mm whereas the 576 here is 44mm. Hope you’re well mate.

    Cheers Jon, very kind.

I tend to avoid showing my complete collection online, or on public forums (or social media) due to several negative experiences in the past - mainly security related. Shouldn’t be that way, but it’s the way of the world unfortunately 🤐

I am a purist, Panerai that look like the originals are by far my favourites. The original 3646 radiomir is as iconic as the Submariner or Speedmaster to me. Basic is best!

    It’s a good looking Radiomir.

    Thanks guys!
The reason why I went for a 210 is because of the simplicity and closeness to the original 3646 in design. The two lines of text on the 12 side and that would be my perfect Pam at 45mm.

I decided to keep one of the straps that didn't sell from my recent clear out. Quite glad I did now. I've popped it onto my 24 this morning and it looks pretty good, even if I do say so myself

Your straps are so nice I bought a 24mm despite not owning a watch with 24mm lugs. I know I'm going to have to scratch the Panerai itch at some point soon, just as much as I know it'll be too big but that's the hobby! Your submersible looks great though.
