Haven’t noticed a picture of a carbon one on the thread yet, so here’s one I owned for a while...

A stunning watch and so comfortable. If it didn’t have Carbotech written on the dial I would still have it.

I’m considering one of the smaller versions, most likely a 40mm for my 6.75” wrist. Found what appears to be a good one, a 0050, but I’m not convinced I’ll wear it on the bracelet as it’s a bit OTT for my tastes. The rubber is more likely.

Any major negatives to the 40mm?
Going rate for the bracelet if I sold it on?

    Thanks

My wrists are marginally smaller than yours and I bought both the 40mm luminor and radiomir thinking they would be perfect.

After wearing them for a while they looked to small and I wish I had gone bigger. I took a bath on both when I moved them on, the market for that size is incredibly small.

Go for a 42mm, it may feel a little larger but believe me, you will regret buying a 40mm.

My wrist is 6.75 and 40mm is as big as I will go on a Pam.
Compared to a 40mm Rolex they wear much larger

My wrist is around 6.5-6.75 and I wear 47mm pams comfortably

It might be comfortable, but then the lugs overhang your wrist, that's a big watch to carry off.

Wore this over the weekend for the first time in a bit.

47mm on a 6.5? Blimey. Goes against all logic, but it doesn’t look as extreme as the specs would suggest.

The 40mm looks fine, but of course photos can be deceptive.

I think it’s time to find some to try on and compare.

    Walter, yours looks fabulous.

Re relatives wearbility here are a couple if posts I did re this. The sizes don't reflect how well they wear, some 47mm sit/fit better than 44mm.

I cant quite decide if i would like a PAM or not but that one i wouldnt hesitate about. It has a lovely patina.
I imagine you are pleased with it, as you should be.

    Panerai appreciation thread

I’m loving my 631. It’s probably a less popular boutique model due to some technical departures (like spring bars) from the usual Panerai solutions. However apparently it’s the last Panerai with the ETA/Unitas 6497 movement. As the Unitas derives from the original Cortebert/Rolex movement and used even in ETA form in Panerai watches since pre Vendome era, in terms of movement you can think of it as the last real Panerai.

    Cool

it's good to see a lot of panerai love on the forum. IMHO it is a great brand, despite some saying that they all look the same??

Sometimes I do contemplate selling my 560, & put the money towards a Moonwatch & BB58. Then I catch it in certain lights or it glows and I think nah save for the others.

Currently only the 913 in the collection as the others have gone, no doubt there will be others (next dot dial 233 i think)

The 425 is a great piece but the Siluro a Lento Corsa pig motif is found on other references too...

Congratulations, my first PAM was a 183. It can be a slippery slope from there. I added a 190 after a 2 year search. Enjoy!

I don't need to say that strap changes can totally change a watch. The new luminor due has a very quick change system. The 372 is now on rubber and the due on a free strap I got with the watch. I wish there was a bracelet option for the luminor due or even a rubber strap

I do like the 372 on the rubber,I found there weren’t many straps it didn’t suit

Some lovely watches posted here, I’ve not been a fan of Panerai generally but on Sunday whilst getting a bracelet sized on a new purchase ( other make) I tried on a 44mm base and was very impressed, size perfect and just felt right.
    Now the search starts.

I am a latecomer to Panerai having just bought this very cool PAM0088 as a result of this thread. For many years this model has been one of only a few Panerais that really appealed and I am glad to say it hasn't disappoint in the flesh. Something very distinctive and a great strap watch for a bit of variety in my fairly conservative watch horde.

Don't often see these in the wild, especially in NI, but did notice an 88 worn by another school dad at pick up yesterday.
