After a fair bit of thought, yesterday I became a Paneristo. I bought a lovely 2007 PAM0111 from Kibble Watches in a very smooth transaction. There's more supporting paperwork than on any new watch I've ever bought! Many thanks to Verv for some helpful & timely advice. The only catch is that I think I'll need a longer rubber strap, it's on the penultimate hole. While I'm at it I might add a deployant if they're compatible with the rubber straps.

You’d need a deployant specific rubber strap. They are thinner than the tang buckle rubber straps.

Thanks for the tip, much appreciated. I'm going into London next week, I'll visit the store and see what takes my fancy. I also quite like the idea of keeping the rubber strap (in the longer length) and getting a deployant for the leather strap.

You'll soon have 34 straps, so you can pick and choose whatever

Don’t bother with deployment, they cost a fortune and aren’t compatible with 3rd party straps.

Just got the 233 back from service and testing the power reserve so far. It's done a solid eight days and still has two notches on the power reserve to go so I think like all of these eight day movements that work well it's going to end up closer to 10 days at the end of it.

Took my first foray into Panerai ownership with an incoming 183. I’ve tried to read back on this thread for strap shop recommendations but my phone keeps overheating! Any good suggestions?

Does anyone know if there's a source for Panerai prints / artwork that they'd recommend? I fancy nice print for the wall.
    Thanks,

    Thanks,
Back in the Paneristi days there were some nice pics/prints around from some members and artist Eng Tay who was a fan.
I'm sure some of the great photographers here have some good shots. Jocke - (watch wallpapers.com) springs to mind and Nono

I've got some of the original magazine adverts that I have framed. If you look on places like eBay, they sometimes have pages from time magazine et cetera for sale just for a pound or two

    Thanks,
I fancied some Panerai 'wall art' many years ago and I had a few canvas and prints made up using the Panerai pre-V Blueprints which looked good.

Just acquired this lovely E serial 111 from 2002, amazingly well cared for and all the original paperwork. Someone’s pride and joy for sure.

What an absolute beauty! Coincidentally I got my first Panerai last week, it's a J serial 2007 model. It's gorgeous but, while decorated, the movement does not have the Officine Panerai text that yours does.
I've seen this text on other examples so I assume that they stopped doing it at some point before mine was made.
    Enjoy it!
