    New to me 8 Days.

Does anyone know the strap lengths of the standard, large, XL rubber straps?

The one I have is long!! Not sure what a standard length is? My wrist is 7 1/4 inch

The PAM 00328 is quite a beast on the OEM 24mm bracelet, it's significantly more comfortable in the Summer months on a Panerai rubber dive strap

    XL is 125/85

Photo below shows only one side is longer on the XL size.

Saw this on the Friday thread, I believe this is the third 512 on the forum. May I ask, is the blue on the hands—especially the SS dial hand—a trick of the light? Just checked mine and there is no blue on it

It’s a trick of the light. Hand on a 512 are silver.

What colour is that? Is it the military green or something different? Does it fit a Liminor 44mm? Do you want to sell it

Won’t fit. These are for 26mm lug width. For a 44mm Luminor you would need 24mm lug width.

It’s military green. The camo one went back as it was to long for me.

    You need 24mm for a 44mm case.

No. You will need the one specifically for a deployment clasp.

My Submersible has a deployante and rubber strap (in the box), but as with most things Panerai, the answer seems to be a custom leather strap and a Pre V buckle.

I’m probably being silly, but how does one do that on the Panerai site? If I filter by Folding buckle type, I get no results for rubber straps.

A quick look suggests they are currently doing a rubber strap for a deployment.

Maybe phone them and ask the question.

They’ve always been very helpful when I’ve phoned in the past.

Thanks. I also need a new screw bar tool. Will a standard 1.6mm tool not work? Do I have to have the Panerai cutout screw bar tool?

Just wanted to see if I can get any forum wisdom on a Panerai related issues.

I bought a new PAM02662 from watches of Switzerland about 10 months ago. Within a couple of weeks the supplied grey rubber strap split across one of the holes. I messaged the guy I bought from and asked for it to be rectified. The only option available was to send it off to Panerai for inspection to see it it was wear and tear or something else. I was also told to take it into my local store for them to look at which I did (they basically weren’t bothered and said they could only send it back to Panerai). In the end the watch was new and I didn’t want it away for 6 weeks so decided not to do anything.

The split has gotten worse so I contacted Panerai to see if I could buy a new/replacement strap but because it’s a limited edition they dont keep them in stock and they just couldn’t help. They suggested buying another type of strap but to be honest it really needs the original strap. Looks amazing on the original but a bit odd on anything else.

    Any suggestions?

I would suggest to push on the complaint with panerai for them to change the strap FOC.
It should help if it is a complaint for them to treat a bit quicker than 6 weeks the issue, especially as it’s just a matter of swapping a strap.

I definitely would not be happy to be expected to pay for what essentially is a product defect

Can't you just remove the strap, send to Panerai & stick it on another strap while they make a decision on the issue. That way you won't lose the watch for six weeks?

Apparently they need the whole thing. Problem is it’s 10 months on now so wear and tear is a reasonable suggestion/outcome

I had a similar issue with my 0118 and 1661 straps. These straps are rubber-ish and when you tighten then it scapes the strap and in the end damages it. I sent panerai pics (went straight to he source) and said I wasn’t happy. Same as you they said we would look into it, etc etc, Said I losing confidence in the brand and they need to sort it asap. Not sending my watch you have the pics. They mentioned replacement straps wasn’t available to which I said that it totally unacceptable for a brand such a panerai. Had new straps writhing 3 days.

Be polite and say you are not happy with the quality being form a reparable brand such as panerai. Hopefully they will pull their finger out and get it sorted.
