folks trying the Pam1313, its a cracker.

I have always loved the pam aesthetic (i know plenty dont) and when i dont have one i tend to start looking at them again. My ideal set up is an auto with a date, but the old 1950s case was too bulky and not that comfortable.

This new one addresses that issue, its thinner, sits better on the wrist and now slides under a shirt cuff
Lovely blue dial with blue gator (and rubber) strap with quick change, date wheel matches dial, date colour matches the lume which is now a white colour so much crisper,

really really happy with this, need to get a few pics in the sun,

really love that it was a hard decision between that and the 1313 above!

Empty a shoe box(at least size 11) to have space for the future straps :)

Just put back on the original Panerai strap which I think is a big improvement

Back with the 560, after roughly 2 months away. Watchmaker fitted the domed sapphire but no WR so reverted back to stock.

Part of me is glad as been wearing it straight for a week and forgot how much I enjoy it.

The second IMO is a mess. I can find little astheticaly to comment this and it's a 42mm.
I’m liking that sub very much, but I’m a little nervous about going all out for my first ever Panerai. I’m wondering if it’s worth me going with a cheaper 42mm Luminor in case after the honeymoon period I’m not loving it and it’ll be easier to move on?

My wrist is currently about 18cm so 42mm I feel is about my limit (I’ve tried on several 44mm in the past). I take it I really need to be sticking to a screw in case back and 300M WR?

NB: I’m still on the fence as to whether I should go for the ‘safer’ option of a Pelagos or scratch the Panerai itch I’ve had for several years now. If I went all out for the sub above, I’d have to sell my current two tone SMP fave to help balance the books. I think I need a nudge in the right direction.

I always found before I bought mine, nothing sratches that itch apart from the real deal.

Mines a 44mm but sometimes feel like a 42mm would be a better fit. But I note there isn’t much difference in the lug to lug of both.

That’s a good tip about lug to lug thank you. I think it’s best to get myself down to Berry’s and have another look. I know the sub above is online only but I’m sure they’ll have other non limited subs. For some reason that escapes me I only looked at the Luminors when I last went in.

There is a 44mm sub available in the 1024, different from the current 42mm subs available right now as it has the more square Bettarini case. A 24 was my first PAM sub and you could get a used 24 for well south of 4k. Much safer bet to see how the itch develops.

Knowing me that itch would develop into something chronic and expensive.

I’ll have a look at the 1024 and 24s thank you.

    Panerai appreciation thread

To celebrate 20 years of Paneristi this Radiomir was released today.
Domed crystal in a brushed 45mm case. Gold hands, sandwich dial. Bronze/brown dial.

Its the Paneristi text that i'm not sure about. I'm hoping that its not as prominent in the flesh.

Phoned the London boutique this afternoon and put a deposit down because it ticks a lot of boxes for me. Asked for discount ( if you don’t ask etc) told no, not on that model at the moment. They did offer an extra strap though.

I really like this 2020 "Venti" model.

The matt case and bezel look great and the dial looks fanatstic, i too am hoping that the engraved text gets "lost", similar to the way the "gas escape valve.............." writing does on the Deepsea which looks so much worse in photos when it real life its hardly worth consideration.

This and the 1314 are now top of the "wanted" list.........................................along with a few other old school models!

    What makes you think...

What makes you think Panerai won't produce one just like it without the Paneristi wording and engraving? You could wait for that if you don't like....Panerai owner myself but feeling more love towards the earlier models 1993-2000 when the watches they made were stil special (IMHO).

With only two now, a preA1 and one of the very first 005, with 'long arrow', I think I'm firmly in this camp.

No it’s great ,got a grey leather for it and a green canvas ,pictures aren’t working for me on Tapatalk otherwise I’d post them ,I’m on panerai Facebook group which works better.
It’s the best white dial available for me , decent discount as well

No problem. They appear to have started arriving in some boutiques in the US and Asia so I’m hoping it won’t be to long before I get the call.

Here are my two, PAM00062 and PAM00051. Both 40mm that work well for my slim wrists. I also have the bracelet for the Luminor and I use that a lot during the summer.

I have a nagging feeling I might need one more. ;)

Love the 51, I have the 49 which is the same thing but no bracelet. Luckily I feel I have found the perfect strap for it.

Just had my 351 serviced by Panerai. It's been almost my daily wearer since 2014 and has picked up a few dinks here and there so I got it polished. Now I don't want to take it out of the plastic :D
I was in 2 minds about trading for another but I still love it. Titanium case, gold hands, tobacco sandwich dial, 1950s case = perfection; well almost. I'm starting to prefer 3 hand no date watches. Thinking of a 422 next.
