I couldn’t work it out so I called Panerai in London and they said the two watches have a different case finishing and different dial - the 383 has a fully polished SS case with a sunburst dial and the 335 has a brushed SS case with a gradient dial. The 335 also differs apparently in that it’s a reproduction of an older historical 45mm Radiomir in their past catalogue. But that’s it.
I’m really into Panerai watches but like a lot of other people, I prefer the older models, if you wanted some reading material about their pre-Vendome days in the mid to late ’90’s and some of the classic watches they were making in the early to mid 2000’s then the following are reasonably good starting points:

    https://www.ablogtowatch.com/jose-pe...nerai-watches/

    https://www.fratellowatches.com/buyi...he-1990s/#gref

    https://www.fratellowatches.com/buyi...he-2000s/#gref

There’s also all the Perezcope website stuff about dodgy vintage watches at auction and the ’scandal’ of cheap movements in expensive models from a few years ago but that might just put you off!
Thank you for your time taken to call and summarise the difference, it’s much appreciated, along with the reading links too!

No worries at all. I was surprised that there’s really no difference between those Radiomir’s apart from 2 grand … Anyway, happy hunting, there are some cracking older Panerai’s around at the moment if you want to go down that rabbit hole.

What’s the deal with refinishing Titanium cased Panerai? Is it a no go? Really fancy a 176 but nearly all are marked.

Hi Jon, lovely straps … I’m guessing they’re all from Panerai? I’m after either a blue or tan suede strap for a Radiomir and when I contacted the boutique in London last week they said they had almost nothing in. Can I ask where you got yours? Love that second one.

Thanks. None of them are OEM. They are all from the local selling platform here, Lazada. They were were all between £7 - £12 each, including the buckles, tubes, spring bars, and tool.
Unfortunately one of them came with a branded buckle, but all in all they are great quality.

Or you can give the case a light rub with a scotchbrite pad. Marks on the case add to the charm though 😎

Taking advice and looking at the second hand market for my first Panerai. What’s people thoughts on the PAM00512? I think the radiomor works better on my wrist than the luminor

The decorated G series movement was the draw. Very happy with it.

I fell in love with the PAM00341 years ago when I saw it. Couldn’t ever wear it I don’t think but I’d have one just for sheer privilege.
