Had some new straps arrive this week... A bit of fun, and maybe not quite what one might expect an Equation of Time to be on ;)

That means a lot coming from you.
I will try to find the receipt from the strap.
It is made in UK by a guy who is doing this kind of rubber NATO straps out of o very interesting rubber band.
I think his name is Alex or Adam but....if I find out I will let you know.
    Later edit: found it
The name of the company is "yellowdogwatchstraps"

I would never have thought of white until I saw a 614 on white OEM rubber on the panerai website. Now I need one.

There’s 2 white straps on there site ,I was thinking of getting one for the 1314 ,but wasn’t sure white and white would be too much.

There is something about a white strap on a Panerai:-)

Stuck a Corrigia courtesy of Alun on the 992 yesterday. Works better than the OEM I think.
And the 233 just cos I quite like the photo.

(if im breaking in a strap I always mount it back to front for a couple of days so that it doesn't wrist spin when its the right way round. ive discovered that mounting in the wrong direction curves the buckle side faster against the inside of my wrist)

    That does look good C.

Plus good insight on breaking in strap.

That 992 on that particular strap looks absolutely stunning, love the simplicity!

    Glad you’re enjoying Wandril.

I’ve heard on the grapevine there maybe 40mm Luminors soon so I may be back!

Good to see people being enthusiastic about their Panerais while people who have no interest in Panerais keep hyperventilating about their movements on the other thread.

I'm a complete duffer when it comes to the (hundreds) of model numbers for these. Which is this as it ticks all the right boxes for me

Thank you. So am I right in that the main difference between this and the 112 is the 560 uses an in house movement and the 112 is an ETA? Both have sandwich dials I believe.

    Yes that's it!
Only until a certain year does the 560 have a sandwich dial (mine is), the more recent ones are just painted

In a way it's great to be able to wear such watches but the down side is that...I will never be able to wear ...say a Rolex...any Rolex
Even the bigest one looks like a toy watch ;)

I feel a strange sense of achievement that I've learnt something about the confusing world of Panerai.

At least their reference numbers are only 2 to 4 digits
    But it's definitely confusing yes.
I tried a radiomir base with painted dial at an ad and found it looking quite cheap (the finishing of the dial), so for me it's worth going for a sandwich dial, even if it means I need to look for older base models rather than new ones

In order to avoid confusion I reduced my PAMily to two consecutive reference numbers 00670 and 00671 :) :) :)

Personal preference but I think a sandwich dial is what makes these

That looks super Marius. What method did you use to get that patina.

Just been away for a few days with the EoT and now back and but now burning the late night oil catching up on work with Regatta timer...

    Hello
For this one I used the Liver of Sulphur diluted
This one is the best so far IMHO
This is how it looks now...

I wouldn't worry about the recent cost cutting, just take that as a reason to go pre-loved.
