I've phoned my mother and asked her. Apparently I didn't wear any watch when I was born. :lol:Originally Posted by Timw

IMO a good idea - could maybe have been painful for your mum.Originally Posted by wombat

You're right, but I guess it was quite painful even without a watch because of my measures (59 cm, 4,750 gr). :roll:Originally Posted by bricktop
Moreover I'm sure it was not the worst pain by far my mother had to withstand with her beloved son. 8)

I'm sorry, have I accidentaly linked to the other TimeZone?Originally Posted by Timw
Next you'll be asking which watch to wear whilst micturating or having sex.
Fingers crossed :)
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Your wife might think you have your priorities a bit skewed, bearing in mind she has just gone into labour and here you are on the forum asking us what watch you should wear :D
Good luck though - I would go with the speedie to time the contractions

all the best, it's a truly unique experience which no-one can really prepare you for. Treasure your time until he/she arrives home, then the real work starts . . .
Willie
Good luck to you & your wife - I'd take the PO as I'm assuming it's gonna get wet!
/vince ..
I'm going to take my Speedy when my wife gives birth in the next 4 weeks or so. Always handy for timing those contractions :) Good luck to you both.
I was wearing a Damasko DC57 when my daughter was born. Mind you, as it was an emergency C-section, I don't take any credit for planning it. :)

Good luck. I wore a Monaco with a leather strap when my daughter was born, big mistake. Always wear a rubber strap or a braclet in those situations. And don't check the sales forum on your mobile during delivery. No more advice to give, sorry
Speedy! one small step for man...
Good luck, congratulations.
Chris
All the best for the birth; I would recommend one of these (good for future use too):
Cheers and many thanks to all, lets get the important info over first!
So it's like this I went with PO, thinking of washability mainly, but got fed up with timing using the bezel  .
So....switched to the Speedy!...then timing nirvana was reached :D .... Rose did give me a cheeky look as I opened up my Speedy box, polished the PO with my Selvyt and put it away. Thought I may have taken a step to far but luckily nature interviened with another contraction. (Home birth BTW 8) )
Epic session...New baby arrived Sunday 2.50am, 8lbs 11.5 Oz. Well chuffed :D a new baby girl to join my clan, two boys and a girly..spot on!! Wifey Rose SOOOPER chuffed :D 8)
Finally got to bed at 5.40 am, boys came into the room just before 7.30..fully refreshed with 1hr 49minutes sleep time recorded on the Speedy
:D
Thanks again
Tim

Congratulations to you and your wife Tim. :) :)
And it's good to see you got your priorities right.

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Congratulations!

Congratulations Tim!! :)
Yep, big congratulations to you. I reckon it will be good for Wifey Rose to have a female ally, with all you blokes around. And that it won't be long before your new arrival is running rings around all of you... (We have a baby girl, too, who - at 14 months - already knows how to manipulate me like you wouldn't believe).
I wonder what her first watch will be?
Many congratulations.
Frank

Congratulations!
The Americans have a great tradition of sending proud fathers a box of cigars, one I think we should adopt - I will certainly smoke one for you tonight. :)
Best wishes to all three of you!
Congratulations :)
