how to fit new crown to skx007

Hi I am replacing the crown on my skx007 which I snapped whilst modding - do I need to press the little 'button' in the movement to slide the new crown back in?

Yep push the little lever down.The crown needs to be in the in position.

If I have already removed the crown but am putting it back in will it not already be in the correct position? I take it I just push the little level down again as I am sliding the new one in?
