I tried to capture the size of the lugs. Massive in proportion to the case. All part of the clasp thing of course but the long lugs don’t work for me.

I really don't like the position of the lug holes. Far too close to the edge of the case for me.

That's the hinges for the locking mechanism. Couldn't go anywhere else.

At least it's a 42mm black bay where the ridiculous thickness actually works with ridiculous lugs.

That's the oyster case on steroids. What is there not to love.

Tudor is the new Rolex. And Rolex ... well... is aiming for the PP market. Expensive and Exclusive. But the fun play is still there in the Tudor brand. And what a play... !!!

Considering how slab-sided the original BB is, that thing must just look like some kind of giant's watch in person.

I look forward to actually seeing one, but I feel it walks an awkward line between an oulandish avante-garde haute horlogerie statement watch and very safe, traditional tool watch, with all the randomly chosen elements just cobbled together.

Reminds me of the uncanny valley that is the bane of all CGI.

It may have reached stores...only to be held in the back for the special few.

I have yet to see one in the metal but the more I look at it (and I have looked at a few articles since it was announced) the more I like it.
I will still need to try it on but I would rather have this than the GMT I think.

Dial, hands and bezel in a 40mm Sub case of old and I'll be buying one.

They'd have sold 10 tmes the amount of them that they have sold of the P01.
    No doubt at all

I wonder about people's reaction if it said Rolex on the dial and was priced accordingly...

I love the dial and hands - we can only hope for something at Basel but then again, we all hoped last year and we were left disappointed!

I fleetingly saw on instagram a guy who had fitted a black bay bracelet to the P01 by removing the flat link. Does anyone know if this is easy to do? I think this will make for a much more wearable watch and it will fall in line with the others in the range nicely. As much as I love the P01, the hybrid strap is awful. Any suggestions if this is possible would be a great help.

I kind of like it, but it's way too big for me. I'm sure on the wrist it would look a lot less weird. Still seems like a strange release from Tudor.

Not sure about removing parts of it. Is it worth it? Are there not normal divers out there that do the same job, without requiring modification?

To be honest it is far easier to retain the flat link and fit the bracelet to it like this. This way you need a flat end 20mm bracelet and I feel the watch looks more integrated.

I want to like it but for the life of me I cannot understand the lug holes. Why so close to the edge?

I noticed there was a tiny spring bar that will remove the end link and then a standard tudor strap will fit. I am curious about trying and wondered of anyone had a black bay and a P01 to see if this is feasible?
