Just as a suggestion if you are happy to enjoy a nice walk, the Battersea development has some very nice flats at much happier rents than north of the river, plus plenty of surrounding restaurants in the immediate vicinity and nearby Clapham. An easy walk to your preferred locations, no need to cram into a sardine can on rails with all the other lemmings. For the record my firm has rented a flat there for visiting staff for a couple of years- I don’t use it myself as I have a house in God’s own corner of London but my co owner and the other colleagues who use it have very positive things to say about the area.
