    Other Baselworld Good Stuff 2019

We have had a lot of mileage from the Rolex and Tudor announcements, so how about a collected thread for other stuff we have liked from other companies??

I like a lot of the Oris stuff this year.

Steel Oris 65 with bronze bezel (and date at 6)

I like the new "date at 6" 65 in steel too

And this GMT looks very tasty

I see Guinand have now done an automatic Flying Officer

    Not bad for under €1800

This looks very nice from Sinn, but it is an LE of 200

All photos taken from the watch companies websites

Anything else nice taken your eye???

    Dave

    The Sinn’s do look good
For a few years now they have not released anything that caught my eye but they seem to be going back to what they do well. Simple well designed tool watches, with fewer gimmicks.
I like the new 206 in black on oyster style strap.

I really like that green 104 and reckon it will look bloody lovely on the fine link bracelet.
I'm wearing my boring old original black one today and it's an underrated watch.

Yeah I agree. I have a white one that I tend to wear on H Link. A lot of watch for the money.

Ps. Nothing boring about the black one!

There seems to be a new Seiko Prospex Springdrive GMT that I've seen on Facebook which looks nice but I doubt it will less than 4 grand and it will probably be enormous. Looking forward to Grand Seiko tomorrow.

Citizen have also released a super simple watch with their incredibly accurate quartz movement. Limited edition and 5 grand in titanium

Another “like” for Sinn Arktis. Unfortunately at 43mm it isn’t for me even if it was reasonably priced.

Is Guinand present at Baselworld or only communicating now?

I set up a thread for it thinking people would be interested - but seems not so much interest. Ridiculously expensive, upsized and bigger. I'm confused on the chrono pushers - they look as if they are screw down but Sinn have the following

Thanks to our D3-System, however, screwable push-pieces are no longer required in the 206 ARKTIS II. This makes the chronograph functions easily accessible and easy to operate.
    Can someone clarify for me?

Yeah, ordered when I spotted it on Instagram at lunch today. Not sure what time it went on their website.
I actually commented on the Instagram post and had a quick reply from the Sinn account with the web details. No choice then really lol

I really like those Zodiac GMTs, they look quite modern whilst maintaining fairly classic lines.

Haven't paid much attention to Zodiac before but, having paid a quick visit to their website, I quite like several of their current range.

They would have been even better if they had true GMT movements. 2893s or 'home/caller' GMTs are just 'adequate'. Honestly owning a 2893, I will never own another GMT unless they're true, such a pain when travelling.

I would expect that they can be had for around £1200-£1300?

As with many of the new GS, the lack of any dial printing on the lower half, unbalances the dial, which is a shame.

The Zodiac looks very nice, as do the Orises. I've seen current models in shop windows, and they are most attractive.

It's a very niche brand but also interesting and different.
If I ever had that kind of money to spend on a watch they would certainly be near the top of the list.
I should be seeing them over the weekend so I'll get you some shots on the wrist

Citizen calibre 0100 looks really interesting but the price makes the grand seiko quartz look quite reasonable

Bucherer´s Heritage BiCompax Annual looks good to me.

Just as last year, Guinand are the highlight so far for me, that's a beauty.

    [EDIT] is this new also?

I definitely need a Guinand in my collection at some point.

Nice to see some new GS models to lighten the mood. 20th Anniversary Spring Drives, one of which looks a bit like it’s been run over, though in a good way. Notably they are in 38.5mm and have no power reserve on the dial, thumbs up for that. Far from cheap though!

The 'order' options doesn't show a price...or anything really...but at least it doesn't come up with 'discontinued model' as do several other models of their Pilot Officer.

The new Landmasters and Flightmasters look excellent - potentially a bit big and the bigger issue is €5100 retail though. Ouch!

That Zodiac in Gulf colours looks tasty. With shipping and UK import duty it is a bit pricey though. It's getting on towards the £2K Dreadnought on SC...

And you can also learn "Lieferbar Ende Mai 2019, Vorbestellung für erstes Produktionslos ab sofort möglich"...or "Available End of May 2019, pre-order for the first production lot now possible", according to Google Translate.
