Just seen the new Patek releases on Instagram. Also online now

    Enjoy!

Must say I do like the green Aquanaut (the price not so much!)

Big fan of the green aquanaut, I just don’t like the size. Also really like the 5231J even if it looks the same as the 5131

Interested to see if the 5726 comes with the new clasp

If I could afford them would I like them? I just don't see anything of interest there, they range from the ugly to the vulgar.

In complete agreement with this - Patek once made lovely and elegant gents watches.

    The 5520P is particularly bad.

Putting price aside (!) not much appealing there. Only one would be 5905, but much prefer the P in that model.
So no wallet stress there :)

    My thoughts exactly!

I like the 5212A. A new complication for them and in steel as well. I just don’t see why they feel the need to cover all of their ladies watches in diamonds. It’s just tacky and tasteless but I guess they know their market.

I like the 5726 but for that kind of money I’d rather have a 5712R or pay extra for a 5711R or 5990

The French speaking people who made it have used the French word for enamel

I see. Not sure why they chose to write what the dial is made of on the dial itself - is this usual for Patek?

I don't know about Patek specifically, but in general it's not unusual to see enamel dials labelled as such.

I once found a Chinese Cabernet Sauvignon in a supermarket in China which was called "E-mail". I don't think that had anything to do with anything.

Yes it’s normal for the watches that aren’t rare handcrafts and the painted world timers

That Breguet. That is exquisite. Gorgeous dial, and those indices are beautiful.

And you're quite correct, I've just not noticed (or rather have been looking at watches in rather lower price brackets to those with enamel dials!)

I quite like the wonky text on the 5212, I wonder how the market will find it and whether it might eventually appear elsewhere?

    ^ Oooh, now there’s something!

A weak year I think, other than the quite nice green Aquanaut (though would rather steel and normal size) and the 5231J (38.5mm enamel world timer)... for some reason I think that the 5231 is easily worth £56k... it’s ‘proper Patek’ and a very special thing... especially now that 5711s are £40k.

One thing I can’t understand is the 5212A thing... is it an annual calendar, or a ‘triple calendar’ which has to be changed 5 times a year?

If the latter, then what a pain. I thought the ‘uncomplicated’ calendars had died a death, but Vacheron seem to have brought them back.

A bit all over the place - it does make you realise PP do have a LOT of different models, though I do feel there is more Nautilus related watches nowadays.

The Stainless Steel weekly calendar is interesting - anyone know of other weekly calendar watches?

I do like the 5726 Nautilus Annual Calendar with the blue dial.

    It’s a very pretty piece

  25. #25
I like a few of them, especially the green Aquanaut - but would probably prefer the current blue dial WG
It's just a matter of time...

When you look at PP now offering Khaki dials there can be no residual doubt about all manufacturers pandering to fashion🙄

Green Aquanaut is beautiful to me, though picture comparison above has kinda ruined it haha.

It’s white gold so sadly be out of reach for me. I’ll stick to the list for stainless steel Aquanaut

    At last, a Patek beater

...at least that’s what the green Aquanaut must be.

Nautilus moon phase is a bit better, as long as it’s not too big.

I registered on the forum to post exactly this, I love it. I’ve never owned at Patek, I assume there’s a long lead time for these?
