    Obtrusive vs unobtrusive

Not sure whether it's been done before...

Share your most obtrusive and unobtrusive watches.

My most obtrusive watch is my gshock rangeman, really annoying to wear and the least one is my marathon navigator I hardly notice on my wrist.

Most tricky as I don’t have one particularly large watch but every surface polished and being kinda bling the Breitling just takes it

Least at a hair under 36mm and thin as a thin thing, I frequently forget it’s on.

I hope I don’t own anything very obtrusive. Watches should be a private pleasure, I think. However, this is probably a touch obtrusive....
Although, maybe not...anyway, this really does fly under the radar.
The one I wear most often is 43mm, but I tell myself it’s not very obvious. Who knows what others think...
I still think, if a watch is obtrusive, it’s wrong.

Well i think the breitling looks very nice
Possibly on a dark brown or blue strap could be very nice

In theory this would be my most obtrusive - however when worn it is always under a shirt cuff, so to me it becomes unobtrusive.

This one at 34mm is unobtrusive.

My main three are all designed to go under the radar but probably the Rolex 15200 is the least noticable I think

Rolex by Robert Seymour, on Flickr

Trio by Robert Seymour, on Flickr

The most is probably my Swatch Oscillation although its not been worn in 4-5 years at least.

This one can be a struggle to get under a cuff.

    This one just disappears.

id say this is very noticeable as its all highly polished and stands proud on the wrist especially in summer with a short sleve

and this for subtle under a sleve

I was excited when the z33 was announced but ultimately it was size that put me off considering it further. That Patel is lovely and I'll never have one 😂

The resin seems to be in very good condition, no sign of the resin rot that does afflict these and other G Shocks from the same period.

The watch is fantastic actually one of the best 'Masters of G Shock' Casio ever made. The looks are a bit 'challenging' though!

If we're talking about literally standing out (i.e. watch height) rather than visually, then surprisingly this is also mine, at around 16mm:

And my least, at around 11mm:

Most obtrusive is my newest, though the shine will recede as it ages and sitting flat on the wrist as it does, it slips under a sleeve pretty well so can hide when required.

Most unobtrusive is probably this one, it’s beautiful but subtle I think.

Shape, thickness, width, lug width, lug-to-lug, styling, these two represent the extremes of my collection.

For my purposes I can just re-title this "Largest and smallest"

At 38mm the Hamilton is my smallest watch and I wear it as a beater when in the garage, doing yard work, etc. The 55mm flieger is a Messerschmitt (by Aristo) quartz and has never been worn on the wrist. It stays on that stand and serves as my bedside clock.

I've a couple of 42mm watches which, while large, aren't obtrusive. My smallest watch though is just 30mm - and it's tinyness is so striking that, in a way, it's the more obtrusive....

Most people who are familiar with my collection would argue that I don’t really do unobtrusive...

I guess the one that gets noticed the most is this...

...and the one that most successfully ‘flies under the radar’ is this...

Obtrusive is a tie between these two:

Although Breitling don’t have reputation for unobtrusive watches, I’m going to have to go with this stealthy number
