    Bremont Airborne 75th Watch

After 6 months of discussion, design, and paperwork to clear licensing and ratification I am delighted that the Bremont Airborne 75th Watch is live.

These will be allocated to last and present Paratrooper and come with a commemorative booklet detailing all the recipients and their military service details.

Demand is already huge and a selection board will convene to allocate them to a cross section of Airborne Forces. A nice simple solid military piece with subtle design and the offset 16 on the inner dial for the original Bde and current organisation.

The first ones issued will be jumped into Arnhem on the anniversary jump in September and presented on the Drop Zone.

My inspiration for this was that my grandfather had jumped at Arnhem and how much I owe to Airborne Forces personally.

Very handsome watch and a great inspiration. I visit the commemorative jump in Ede every year. It's the place where my grandparents lived and where they saw their eventual liberators land for the first time, so I owe quite a lot to those brave men as well.

Fair play monkey, that looks the business. I may be biased as i love the BB58 colour scheme, but if this was on the market when i bought the Tudor, i may have walked away with one of these instead.

Nice work, and hats off to your Grandpappy. A Bridge Too Far is one of my favourite films, a guaranteed comfy Sunday afternoon viewing and relaxing

My Dad and Step Dad both served in 3 Para for many years and they would love one of these!

Thanks. They had a thing about bridges as my other grandfather was on the Burma Railway as a POW !

Lovely looking piece although, a strange design for something that's supposed to pay homage to the Airborne Division.

As was my Uncle and my wife's late Grandfather.

My Uncle was a doctor and was captured staying behind in their army camp to look after the wounded, as did all the nursing team. Being a Doctor probably saved his life as he was then looking after captors and captives alike. He kept a secret diary hidden in buried tobacco tins. It's now an archive at IWM.

The watch is fantastic. Being a Bremont AD I admire much of what they do and am so impressed with their Military Specials.

It will be a proud watch to wear and, as with so many Special Projects, hard earned.

Congratulations on a wonderful watch and story.

    That's pretty cool,
Both father/grandfather were Paras, and my grandfather was at Arnhem (i believe 156th?) and one of the lucky few to make it back.

Great watch, the 40mm Bremonts are a lot nicer in the metal.

That's a fine looking watch. Well done.

On the topic of Burma, my grandfather served there, so if you do a Forgotten Army/Burma Star special edition please let me know.

Those new hands on the S300 are Bremont's nicest, imho.

My old man is ex 3para, not quite Arnhem - but Aden and Cyprus amongst other places, 1956 to 61/2 I think - if you extend the eligibility!

Out of interest, his CO was one of the original LRDG.

My old man was Ex 3 Para as well but a little later 67 - 85.

He was just down in Aldershot for the Airborne Forces day and the unveiling of the new Para statue.

It’s a beauty. My good pal Tommy Simpson was instrumental in its delivery and leaves a lasting legacy.

It certainly is a very impressive and detailed statue. A great tribute to all the soldiers who have served both in the Paras and other Airborne services. Plus I enjoyed my eight years as a kid in Aldershot attending Talavera Junior school!

A very nice gesture people will be proud to wear it.

However Things are going on in Britain a lot of people aren’t aware about.

A lot of old Army sweats along with the other services and civilians are standing together with soldiers being prosecuted after service in NI.
The truth is being twisted and we are being made scapegoats to try and appease terrorists in NI.
    It’s fact not conjecture.
I have copys of the government documents discussing this.
An ex para last week said to me it’s all behind me,I tried to explain to him it’s not for some of his fellow paras.

As well as Bloody Sunday, the inquest into the actions of the Paras at Ballymurphy is ongoing. It doesn’t get as much coverage but with 11 civilians killed, I fear that it could be another stick used to beat those brave servicemen who served their country over 48 years ago.

    Bremont Airborne 75th Watch

Is the case side red or maroon?

Edit: Actually I’m confused - is that the airborne edition or something else?
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

That is indeed a mixture of parts and processes within Bremont.

The Red Ring you see is for the MB1, only produced for those who have ejected from a MB Seat! Please note, I do not own one

Just settled the invoice for the one going to my Dad.

You mention the book is on hold, is that still
planned or likely not to proceed now?

Is there anything you need help with?

    Thanks.
