My son has purchased an Omega with a rubber strap and is after a deployent for it.

The number on the back of the strap is CVZ010126.

    Would members kindly advise.

If the. deploying isn't available separately, then I suppose it's a new strap that includes a deployant?

The deployant is available for purchase by itself but that strap will not work properly with an OEM Omega deployant.

Because of the way the OEM deployment is designed it feeds the tail end of the strap UNDER the 12 o'clock side of the strap and it requires the strap to be longer on the 12 o'clock side. Also, the six o'clock side does not have keepers. The keepers aren't needed since the tail end fits underneath and is not loose. I suppose you could remove the keepers from that strap and make it work but the clasp will not be centered because the 12 o'clock side will be too short. You need the clasp to be centered for comfort since it is curved. I've tried the OEM deployant with a regular strap and it doesn't work well at all.

In the photo below note how the tail end goes under the clasp and the long 12 o'clock side of the strap.

So you really need a new strap and deployant or you could fit an aftermarket deployant to that strap you already have.

Sorry Dave for not getting back to you sooner.
Saxon has answered far better than I and illustrated with photos too.
The only thing I can add is… they’re NOT cheap.
    Best wishes

Thank you OP, I had the exact same question for my black dial version (with OEM rubber and bracelet) but as I usually wear it on the rubber strap I’m really missing the convenience of a deployant.

Brilliant detail in the responses! More than I got from the OB when I asked the same. Didn’t pursue it but intended to with Omega, know I know.

Would be very grateful if any any members who own this model have sourced an aftermarket rubber strap on deployant?

Jon, there are some very good quality aftermarket straps and clasps on eBay.
I can’t comment on the case fitted types but have had both leather and rubber
straight end aftermarket jobs on a Railmaster and a Planet Ocean.
The clasps come plain or with a Greek letter on them.
    Very reasonably priced too.

Something like this may work with your strap. Designed for Panerai straps with a 6mm wide pin.

Yes I've the same watch and put it on a pretty cheap rubber sailcloth and snide omega deployant that I swapped on to the strap inplace of the pin buckle. I'd read all the 'it won't fit' comments likethose above, but tried it anyway and glad I did. It works fine, other then the fixed keeper I've yet to bother removing. I'll try and get some photos.
The real omega strap and deployant may fit differently of course, but I'd suggest you try a cheap snide one.
