Good solid review that.
Spot on.
Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Good solid review that.

Quite a good review, though his opening throwaway contention that Sir Edmund Hillary "famously carried a Rolex to the summit of Mount Everest in 1953" is irritating, particularly for anyone following the interesting evidence-based discussion thread in Watch Talk on the Everest expedition(s). Presumably he's read somewhere on the Internet that that's the case and has simply taken it as a generally accepted fact.
On a minor point, I really don't understand his issue with the bracelet screws, but on most of the major aspects - on which he is very positive, except for the adjustable clasp - I think he's got it right.
A good review IMO
I agree with his comments on the bracelet as I know a number (not all of course) on here do.
Fitted with an aftermarket oyster tapered style bracelet (whilst I wait for the riveted version) this feels like my perfect watch - its all I wear these days. It feels so right that the only watch purchase that is on my radar at the moment is the white dial version.
+1 on this. Have worn it daily since it arrived. Also waiting patiently and excitedly for the white dial version.
On the black one, while I agree that it is the "perfect watch", I would however love to change the clasp. I love the functionality, but it is undeniably big and bulky, and my wife hates it, because it scratches her whenever I put an arm round her.
I'd love to be able to replace * just the clasp * as the bracelet itself is excellent. Not really fussed on a rivetted bracelet version instead, as there is nothing wrong with the supplied bracelet at all - it just needs a different clasp. Does your factory actually make a different (slimmer) clasp that would fit this bracelet Eddie ? I'd buy one in a heartbeat ...

Amen to that.
When will the updated bracelet be available?
