At first I hated those two tones with gold colors, now I find them desirable...what is happening?

    You're getting old :D

    Here's my "two-tone" watch:

Where's the two tone you ask? Clearly the white gold bezel is a different tone to the stainless steel case :P

My wife does like her genuine two tone Seamaster however:

Watches are jewellery - and she enjoys a little bit of gold on her watches.

Now I rather like that Tank! Not seen that before. Maybe it's because only the bracelet has two tones, it doesn't look too brash to me.

The Tudor black bay steel and gold is I think a very good example of when its done well (gold plating I mean)
The brushed gold links on the tank francaise are solid not plated. Plated gold Cartiers have the name "cartier" in lower case, solid in upper case. AFAIK anyway.

I’m a fan of TT and although the Omega Aqua Terra has got it nailed pretty well with the previous version that had co-axial 8500 movement. I’ve held off a purchase as the latest incarnation 8900 as the Omega site states the TT I like is in the ladies watch category, but GS online chat advisor states it is suitable for men and women!

Further to my previous post, some of the TT look fabulous with a leather strap

The black and gold Heuer is nice ... But it's not two Tone, it's gold. The NATO doesn't make it TT...no, not allowed in this thread!

Some two-tone doesn't really work for me...

    And then there's this

Much better than the all-steel version

Qualify yes. It's got a very different look to the all gold version from murky waters!

I was looking at a picture of a TT smurf beside the black TT sub yesterday and realised the black version looked ok (almost!) but for me the smurf seemed too much. This struck me as odd because I love the white gold smurf and if they did a steel version I'd be very keen (to endlessly visit numerous ad to be turned away most likely!)
Perhaps the blue is shinier and TT works ok with a dull, matt colour dial?

That has to be one of the best two tone watches ever, IMO.

Two tone isn’t for me. Just seems tacky
