The cab doesn't show in the pic, what you see is the back of the truck.

I really think OP should just explain at this point. Thread is a bit WTF and everyone is none the wiser.

  3. #53
It's not the first time this picture has been used in a meme.

It's just the first time it's been used humorlessly.

    There you go.

Nice to see that at least one person does't need to be spoon-fed.

I got it too. I think others probably did but wouldn’t admit it. Didn’t think it was particularly hilarious btw, but I’ve seen much worse.

I need to know as well please.

Is it one of those 3D magic pictures where an Elephant or a pot of flowers jumps out after you have stared at it cross-eyed for 10-minutes.

I've held off saying this, but it's going on far too long. Is the reason nobody who knows is willing explain is because it's racist?

Ah...is it about migrants going north from the Sahara and turning left into Britain? If so, that’s pretty racist and secondly, the mileage would need to be at least 1500 miles, not 400 so it’s also been produced with very poor geographical knowledge.

If I’ve got the wrong end of the stick, then it’s because I need the meme explaining to me.

  23. #73
Calypso, I forking love it !

We have had a right giggle, the follow-up memes were really (mostly) good, and still no-one has any idea what your meme is about.

    Brilliant.

I'm pretty sure most of us know what it's about; the problem is it's just not funny.

I think I've finally got it and it's Brexit related?

Travel 460 miles and turn left, so you've travelled miles but are essentially in the same place i.e still stuck in the desert, very clever :)

It can't be a racist or political meme.
So I still don't have a clue what is going on.

    This!

I have just read this whole thread and it’s well funny. And OP, it is definitely not a Meme - so I await your first actual meme.... please post one here, am sure it will be a cracker!

I think there comes an age when you should not be meme-ing!!!!

    (I don’t think it’s a racist thing. I am hoping not. It’s just a shit thing. And that’s hysterical!)

I took it to be the ridiculous situation of someone using a sat nav to cross what appears to be a desert, where for the next '450 miles' there simply would be no turnings. Others may have different interpretations.

Just read all the posts and, well, that's 10 mins of my life I'm never going to get back.... But, the good news is the paint has well and truly dried, so I can get on with something useful.

I assumed it was just the idea that there were no landmarks to help you know if you were going straight in the first place; making the instruction redundant. Still not exactly the impact of an Ustinov story......

But in a featureless desert, a sat nav would be useful, no? And why pick a vehicle with a lot of black people on it?

Loving how this started so poorly, but with high hopes, yet has turned into one of the most amusing threads on here for a while. And no, I don’t get it either. I can take a guess at a few interpretations, but none are even remotely funny.

Nothing to explain. It's just the idea of a truck like that crossing the desert using sat nav.
