Amazing achievement, even for someone who had not had their leg amputated.
Astonished to read that he served for 24 years in the Royal Marines without injury, but then had to have his leg amputated after being hit by debris whilst trying to help someone on the side of the motorway. I just jumped to the default 'combat injury' conclusion when I read the headlines.
That's the sort of inspirational person that should be acknowledged in the New Years Honours,. A fantastic achievement.
Amazeballs…. What an achievement
Apparently 70% of the effort when rowing comes from the legs.
Amazing achievement. Deserves whatever good fortune comes his way.
