Thanks for posting and the link, just waiting for my local AD to get the new pilots watches in stock. Should be in the next 3 weeks and very keen to have a closer look at this brand
I hadn’t seen anything about this watch on TZ, so I thought I’d post a couple of quick pictures of the one I have just received, as I know the original Mk XI is very well regarded by watch enthusiasts.
This homage to the Mk XI was produced by IWC in collaboration with The Rake and Revolution magazines and is a limited edition of just 150.
Although the design and size (36mm) is true to the original Mk XI, the Special Edition comes with a bronze case, dark green dial and rose gold hands.
To add to the package the watch comes on a NATO strap produced by George Cleverley from 200 year old Russian reindeer leather that was liberated from a ship that sank off Plymouth Sound in the 1700’s.
If anyone is interested then this link gives the full story of the creation of this watch...

I love the strap and the history be hide it!
Wow, looks superb. Really like the limited edition mark xviii as well.
Do we know what movement IWC are using here?
If they made it in steel with a black dial I would be more interested. :D

Very cool piece (> the dinkee LE imo). Nice pickup!
Absolutely love that. Big fan of the original XI, though I'll likely never own one. Still - I shall strap on my XII and count myself fortunate.
Nice, I have a strap for my Panerai made from the same leather- from the wreck of the Metta Catharina
It’s interesting stuff that still smells of the Birch sap that was used to proof it.
