    My Xbox One is possessed...

...but perhaps not by the usual suspects.

It keeps turning on by itself, and google will happily tell you why. Dirty power button sensor, kinect, controller or HDMI-CEC through your TV menu.

Checked all of those, and none appear to be the reason why.

I've narrowed it down to when I'm browsing websites on Safari, either on my Mac or my iPad. If the webpage has video content, usually an advert or something like that, the Xbox turns itself on.

I can't see an obvious setting to stop this, neither on my Mac/iPad nor within the Xbox settings.

Can anybody help with how to stop this? Or shall I call in Yvette Fielding?!

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Can’t really help but you’re not alone..... I had TomTom satnav that would spontaneously turn itself on in the middle of the night and start issuing commands, scared the poo out of me the first time it did it!

It’s not used that often because I mainly use WAZE on my phone these days.
Have you tried sleeping in a car?....bloody awful experience, but at least I can’t hear the wife snoring
