    PRS-40 Stem Removal

I recently bought a spares or repairs PRS-40 from Sales Corner. It came without a movement which had stopped working.

I ordered a replacement movement which fits ok, but I can't work out how to get the stem out? I presume by pressing in this hole marked with the yellow arrow, but that doesn't seem to work.

Does anyone know how to do this with this ISA 331.103 movement?

Try pushing the stem fully in and then press the release downwards and then pull the stem out.

Thanks for the suggestion but that didn't seem to work either. In the end I've trimmed the stem that came with the movement.

Thoughtfully there's space in the case to allow you to grip the inner stem to screw the crown on.

Anyway here it is fixed up with it's new movement which came in at just over £15 including VAT and delivery from Cousins.

And I didn't forget to fit the hour hand - it's just under the minute hand!
