Thread: Non-Rolex patina

    Non-Rolex patina

We all ( well most of us ) love the creamy patina developed over the years on the t-dials.
Sadly most of the examples we see are of Rolexes. But it is not exclusive to Rolex. There are some pics here and there of vintage Speedies too.
Here are some pics of the patina on my t-dialed Panerai 243. Interestingly, the 6, 12 and the hands have aged a little differently than the rest of the markers, though it may not be obvious in the pics.
Let us see some pics of your non-Rolex patina.

My Seiko 7548-700b from 1981, has turned a nice creamy colour and bezel has faded too.

I love aged vintage creamy brown lume.
Its not often seen on vintage Seiko, but looks great when it happens.
Ive got a 7548 where the lume has gone a nice grey colour, must look for it and take a photo.

Arabic numerals are starting to go off white, but the hands & lume remain very white. Please excuse the dust on the crystal.

Some old dress watches from the 1940s and 1950s. The ‘patina’ adds to the charm and character, for me.

Eterna 38mm cal 852 14''' with gilt dial, circa 1939. I do like a little patina on my watches, must get a better strap though.
