Thread: Pancake day, what's on yours?

    Pancake day, what's on yours?

On this day two thousand or so years ago, Jesus' mum asked 'what do you want for tea luv?' JC replied 'Pancakes! and from this day forth, and for the rest of eternity I shall call this day Pancake Day'. Mary sent Jo off to the shop to get some ye'old Golden Syrup and the rest is history...

But what will you have on yours?

Sometimes simplicity is good..... lemon and sugar!

On a similar theme, I LOVE Amsterdam waffles... proper ones... with banana and whipped cream... absolutely lush... maybe a bit of cinnamon also :p

That's the problem when the date of the event changes. I have a good mind to email the Pope and ask if they can decide on a fixed date. Anyone got his direct contact?

Loved 'em as a kid with lemon juice and sugar......it's a wonder I`ve got any teeth left.

As a grown-up I went off sweet stuff, so for me it's got to be thick strong onion gravy with a touch of black pepper in.

As an alternative, Marmite's good too....but you either love it or hate it.

    Curry + pancake's good too.

Lemon juice and sugar. I might be adventurous this year and have one with strawberries and banana. Plus sugar probably.

And I don't want to be pedantic, but Jesus wouldn't have known anything about Easter, seeing as it celebrates his death.

As far as I'm concerned the ONLY way to eat pancakes on Pancake Day is with fresh lemon juice and granulated sugar.

This thread with every option going, I was thinking lemon and sugar, but then pretty much every option put forward ticks my boxes.

Everyday is pancake day for me. Just as they come to get the protein in and satisfy a sweet desire daily

Rubbish there are pictures in the bible of him receiving an Easter Egg gift from one of the disciples.
