    Watch strap hole punch

Anyone recommend a watch strap hole punch? I see a bunch on Amazon and ebay, but some of these things can be cheap rubbish. A recommendation based on usage would go a long way.

I bought one of these, and have used it for punching a hole in a leather belt and watch strap and both worked very well:

I have only had to do this once on a very thick leather Breitling strap, so I used what I had available: a 1mm drill held in a pin vice. I drilled just over half way through then turned the strap over to drill through the other side to give a neat finish top and bottom (not that the side facing your wrist really matters).

I'm very happy with the Draper 63637.

The Draper hole punch mentioned earlier is the one I have too, would recommend it.

Thanks folks. I have one of the leather punches already, for adding holes to belts, but the smallest punch on it and the ones mentioned here are 2mm. I probably need one with a 1mm punch. I'll check if such a thing exists.
I like thr drill idea, but I think I'll make mince of my strap. Thanks all.

I know this sounds crazy, but I use a leather punch.

I think I have a 1mm and a 1.5mm for watch straps, they look something like this and are inexpensive.

ended up getting a set like this from amazon for about a tenner. Not outstanding quality, but plenty for the odd extra hole in a strap for me. Thanks for the recommendations.

I have a mont blanc that has oblong holes in the strap, anyone point me towards a leather punch for that, easier to find straps with round holes I could be modify.

I've used a ¼" leather punch like those to notch the ends of a strap before. It was scary .... but did the trick.
