    Peter Tork - RIP

It was announced today that Peter Tork from the Monkee's passed away. If you're a certain age I'm sure you'll remember they knocked out a few good tunes:

That's sad to hear, always rather liked the Monkees on the telly back in the 60s. Despite the widespread criticism of their music, they were involved in any number of great tunes and had some big names writing stuff for them to perform. THe first album I bought was Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones Ltd. Still got it but it is a bit tired

Now , there's a question, I'll check. However I did recently find a much nicer copy in an Oxfam shop , but the original is staying as well. Have a double CD of Monkees tunes in the car from the same source so will be taking the long way home ( with apologies to Supertramp for the lift )

I loved the film, Head. Some great cameos on there, not to mention cracking tunes. Sad news.

There was a paper towel dispenser in the kitchen of an office where I used to work. It was made by Tork. One time, someone stuck a post-it note with 'Peter' written on it above the logo. I don't think many people in the office understood it, but the simplicity and innocuity of that little prank still makes me smile.

I’m a child of the 70’s and 80’s, but remember the reruns of their show fondly.

I saw them live years later, and they were surprisingly good!
So clever my foot fell off.
