Carbon because it's Carbon
Out of the two which would you go for???
Victorinox Inox Carbon
Victorinox 241787
Both 43mm case and quite thin...
Answers on a postcard please...

Of the two, the Inox.
I don't like* black watches but I have a steel Inox and it's great.
(* I do like black watches but have got bored of buying them and not wearing them)
That case shape looks really good with a rotating bezel, the date at 6 is nice and symmetrical, and the hands are well proportioned in terms of width (they look a little skinny on the carbon one), so 241787 would be my choice.
D
There was an Inox carbon on SC for a while and I thought hard about buying it but I went into an AD and, to me, it was not at all special. It just felt like and to be honest looked like plastic and in no way like a £700+ watch. I'd definitely see it in person before putting down the cash.
carbon is interesting and might be a topic to start with, but I would go for
I've handled a carbon inox and TBH was really put off by the red printing on the crystal.
The stupid date position of number 1 would put me off.
Or a Breitling Colt Skyracer lol...

I have had a Maverick for 14 years.
It’s a great beater and quite a good looking watch.
The bezel has faded to a nice pink colour.
I have just dug it out and the battery is flat, this will be the 2nd change in all that time!

Well I've managed to get a Victorinox Inox Carbon at a very (imo) reasonable price so I've gone for that, appreciate the comments and hopefully this will be the right choice for work lol, dam those pesky H&S people banning smart/fitness watches...
I think you made the right choice. I have the steel INOX and also have a steel Dive Master which I think is very similar in shape to the Maverick. Imho the lines/ curves of the INOX are much nicer, and the crown guard is really impressive. I did toy with getting the Carbon myself.
I hope you enjoy it. I think you will.
Don’t think I will be taking sartorial advice from you.
You wear pyjamas. Says it all really...
