The only one I had was a Glycine Watch Combat Sub 42 GL0093. Can usually get these with big discounts.

This is my stealth choice. Cushion shape lots of black and a touch of orange with a good strap selection as oem to which I’ve added various nato’s and a strapcode “razor blade” bracelet in black which suits it v well.

Although its sold out until April
I've two black watches.
This EZM7S is one of 300 apparently.
Over budget, but not a mark noticeable on it.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
I've been very taken with that black Citizen Tough Eco drive, having seen recent reviews of the stainless steel cased version on YouTube, as well as being familiar with the previous Ray Mears version. I don't do red tipped seconds hands so the SS model was not for me.
I struggled to find a UK supplier but was delighted to spot that they are orderable through Amazon Global (so the majority of import are fees taken into account) from an American seller. All in price, was £272. Search for Citizen Men's Black Steel Case Sapphire Crystal Quartz Analog Watch BN0217-02E
Agreed with colleague, Seiko SBBN035 tuna or baby tuna in cheaper (SRP641 or 655)

I've just taken delivery of mine and am enjoying it. It's slimmer and much lighter than I expected. The seconds hand hits the markers, which is a must for me with quartz movements. The "ballistic" nylon strap is generously long and I find it comfortable, despite its thickness. It'll break in, in due course.
As mentioned in some on line reviews of the standard SS models, the lume is not brilliant. It doesn't last long and has been applied unevenly on the hands. The date window is tiny and so deeply reset, it's hard to read.
But those are nit-picks. Overall having a nice solar powered quartz movement, in a sturdy case with a strong coating and the monocoque design make it a welcome addition to the collection.

How durable are these pvd or 'dlc' coatings? I assume they scratch easily and look tatty fast but assumption may be wrong. Are some durable?
I've a couple, a Carrera from c1983 and a Damasko from 2014. The Carrera is in very good nick but I suspect the Damasko is as scratch resistant as their standard steel ones which means very!

I must admit reading through this thread has changed my mind on these stealth looking pvd case black face watches.. I'm really liking them👍
I've had this one for years but dont wear it enough because it really needs to be re-coated. It doesnt show from the pics but its very worn around the tips of the lugs, the bezel and the crown. I was lucky enough to find a brand new bracelet though.
