Think they have had a stores move recently and found quite a few long forgotten watches and parts that can no longer be remade such as Tritium lume dials. Have picked up four of these 'lost' watches and while they are a little pricey getting a NOS watch which is now long out of production is for me worth the price.
Regard fitting these old dials to new watches then it is a personal choice but likewise not my thing. However use these parts to bring back an old wrecked watch then yes.

Hardly describe any watch as ‘random’.......someone’s made a conscious desicion to come up with a style and design, not exactly what .i’d define as ‘random’!

Random would mean the parts had been chosen purely by a non-biased selection process based purely on chance. That’s not possible for a watch, someone’s made a decision to use specific parts in combination and although the results may seem somewhat haphazard and the combinations seem unusual, they won’t have been chosen at random.
