Does anyone DE shave AND use an electric?

I’ve been using a DE razor (feather AS-D2, amazing) for 3 years and really enjoy it, but it’s not quick.

Was wondering about using an electric shaver for the days when I’m in a rush, but from the initial research it sounds as though your face has to “get used to” electric shavers and I didn’t know if doing both would cause major irritation.

Be interested to hear if anyone does both, and how they get on with it?

Sorry for the extremely niche question!

I do, but I'm retired so closeness isn't a big deal unless I'm going out on the weekend!

Ha well currently on the days I’m in a rush I just don’t shave so it’d be an improvement!

Thanks for the replies, next to read the threads about which one...

I use feather blades when I've got time and a Braun shaver with boots electric pre shave lotion, I got told the same cobblers by a woman in boots about only wet shave or only electric I've never had any problems

I thought we'd had a few threads dedicated to this subject already?

I've seen a few threads about one or the other, but I just wanted to know whether you could swap back and forth without causing irritation.

Apologies if you're finding this is doing exactly that...

Yep - I use DE, straights, and an electric shaver depending on my mood / how much time I have available.

Nothing beats the relaxation of a good Sunday morning shave with a straight, with plenty of prep. Nothing beats the finish, either.
DEs are useful for shaving in the shower - I don't need a mirror to do this after several years of practice.

During the week, I will usually use electric. To get decent results you NEED to buy the flagship models, IMHO. I have a Braun 9 Series and it's excellent. The equivalent Phillips 9000 models are also highly regarded, and are rotary cutters rather than foil. The lesser models just don't cut the mustard.

I'd use my Iwasaki Kamisori every day, if I had the time.

Yep was put off as I have never really been that happy with electric but sometimes they are just so convenient , glad I took the plunge I'm going away for a few days and will take the 5 and leave the 9 at home , I'm sure I will miss it

Yep I DE shave when I'm in no rush and use a Braun series 7 self cleaning jobbie when time is a factor.
I can suffer from really bad razor burn on my neck but at present it seems to be kept at bay.
