Following the keen interest in aftershaves, I thought I’d widen it to bubble bath.
I used to always be a Radox fan, but having tried Mr. Matey it’s fecking sublime, and a winner everyone should have in their man cupboard.
I did try layering, and found the Matey over Radox was better than the other way around. But, I’m still a one bubble bath man myself.
Keen to get more into this and learn from the forum.

I recently rediscovered Badedas. Astonished that it's still in production in exactly the same packaging etc. Bathing in that is like taking a trip back to the seventies. Wonderful stuff.

Yes but I remember it being called linco beer? My brother and I used to make a hole in the lid with a pin, made a great water pistol like the original jif lemon. In fact I’m sure we used to do that as toddlers sharing the bath back in the 70’s!Anyone else remember this badboy?

Funnily enough I don’t recall any brand name, just remembered the orangey brown bottle that was, as you said, highly squeezable! Hadn’t thought of it in, crikey, 40 years!
Little too simplistic. You're forgetting pH and hardness of water have to be taken into account for the perfect foam and bubble. Couple that with surface area and water temperature and it's a rabbits hole of a problem. This is why I tend to bathe in tears of unicorns. Lovely and soft and don't miss the bubbles

Of course, you are correct. I was basing my post on my experience of lovely Scottish and Northern Irish soft water, having long banished from my memory the nightmare of trying to get good bubbles in Hampshire. Those were dark times.
I get stood in the garage covered in snow foam and washed off with the pressure washer turned down low, once a month is quite enough.

Dark indeed. In North West Leicestershire we essentially have chalk coming out of our taps. I'm happy to shoulder the burden though.

It's Ok to discuss your shaving afters in public but really I think those private times when one is playing with one's rubber duck should be kept private.

Just don’t be tempted to wee in it.
I hold the traditional northern view that bubble bath is for women.......my dad told me that and he was never wrong. However, there’s an excellent reason for using it. If you like a long soak in a hot bath, bubble bath can be used to create a later of insulating bubbles on top of the water. This makes a huge difference to the rate of cooling, the water stays hot for ages.
Have tried Lush Bath Bombs which look pretty but useless for bubbles. Waitrose own stuff is decent at about £3.50 for 500ml
