    How much gold is in a bimetallic Datejust?? Now you know...

    It should be quite easy to work out just by comparing the weight of the two watches. Always ensuring that thereís an equal number of links in the bracelet.

    Not as much fun as this way though 😂 As long as the gold carat remains the same throughout the watch that would work.. Iím actually quite surprised 11 grams is about the same gold content as 1.5 Sovereigns..

    Weighing two identical bracelets, then doing a calculation based on the difference and the densities of 18ct gold and 904 stainless, would be my preferred method.

    It's not a lot in some watches, however the 18k gold content in both my bi-metal Globemasters is around 60 grams.
    It's just a matter of time...
