1/ Watches should always be worn on the left wrist and winders should always be on the right side of the watch.
People who don't comply are just being awkward and trying to be different, and manufacturers of watches that don't comply are just pandering to them... so STOP IT!

2/ Seiko's are OK but are basically still a cheap watch, even when priced high.

With very few exceptions, Hamilton watches are snore-inducingly boring

Beads of rice watch bracelets (especially those TAG ones) - nothing shouts “shonky bling” - louder

I’ll risk upsetting the Tudor fanboys - snowflake hour hands. Who decided to bung a square at the end of the hand and not even put it on straight.

Actually, neither do I! Really can`t get excited about who wore what and when, seems irrelevant to me.

Same applies to Omega and all the moon shite, it's been done to death several times over and it's pathetic the way they're still trying to milk it in their advertising 50+ years later.

Bremont?.........I don`t care about that aeroplane crap from the past, doesn`t stop their watches looking shite in my opinion.

    1) I would not wear a Nautilus unless you paid me.
    2) You could not pay me enough to wear an Aquanaut.

Agree, but pity the poor sod who ends up trying to service one.........I see both sides of the coin! Manufacturers made movements too thin, just to prove they could.

I`m a fan of slim watches, but there is a limit.

The Rolex Explorer is boring, the 36mm is too small, and the Tudor Ranger looks like a kids Timex.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

  20. #620
Anything over 44mm is too big.

The Nautilus, a watch so ugly only a mother could love.

Rolex is the Porsche 911 of the watch world - lazy design engineering, based on a 50 year old model.

Germany is the new Switzerland of watch engineering.

I don't care how wonderful the finishing is on a Grand Seiko, they still look like the watch my dad wore in the seventies.

Bronze watches sound like they should be cool, but there's a very good reason that they've never been popular - the 'patina' just makes them look like you've been digging the garden with them.

"In house movements" on mid-range Swiss brands are a modern preoccupation that has the square root of sweet F.A to do with quality and everything to do with image.

Ex Rolex owners have a tendency to become as insufferable as ex smokers and ex meat eaters, and no your micro-brand kumsplashen hydra kraken ocean depth charger IV is not "better".

Unless it has a "desirable" name on it ;)

The more it costs the harder it is to tell the time on. Especially when well into 6 figures and made by a Frenchman called Richard

Oh and if the designs were made by Invicta they'd be laughed at

I really dislike the modern Daytonas... I just don't get the attraction, or the ridiculous cost. The horizontally off-centre 3 & 9 sub dials, would drive me nuts, the original Zenith powered versions were much more pleasing on the eye IMO

The best looking 5 digit GMT is on oyster with a black bezel.

As long as it has a serif insert.

No Tudor with a GMT hand is worth more than £5 while the GMT hand isn’t an arrow and it goes outside the minute track.

I think I must perv over the WoW website a good three times per week.

Chrongraph watches are most often used for timing your boiled egg.

Looking at that red hand reminded me of Dominoes Pizzas for some reason. I’m not a Tudor man, never have been, always hated snow flake hands.

Quartz (and to a degree Spring Drive) is the only real horological advancement over the past 60 years. Mechanical watch 'progress' is basically rehashing 18th century technology.

I prefer the much hated AP ROO divers to the standard RO, which I could not be more bored of seeing.

(noting here as its most definitely an unpopular opinion)

To be honest, nothing AP makes would entice me to spend even a tenth of their RRP on them. They're not as tacky as Richard Mille (obviously) but they're certainly heading in that direction.
