I’d keep the Omega because the dial is far less fussy and you can’t beat Quartz for a “grab and go” watch.
As the legendary Mick Jones sang to us back in 1981.......
I find myself with 2 similar purpose watches (nothing unusual there - I also have 2 Seiko Turtles.... but they are projects) and in my drive not to be swamped with things I do not love or need, and the wish to top up the watch fund coffers(!) I want to prune one of these out.
But which one? And why?
One has quartz grab-and-go goodness, plus lighthouse lume, and a lovely bracelet.
The other is auto, slightly smaller, slipper-comfy and probably better aesthetics (personally speaking).
Both are same price bracket, build seems similar.
They have the same personal use - general day to day wear for all things: Vegetable straining, car washing, desk diving, dog brushing, deep end of the pool diving, leaning against the bar drinking, teeth brushing, kid wrangling tasks.... etc.

Better (?) pics.....

Keep both but the other 'thingies' on your wrist can go:-)
It boils down to whether you prefer quartz or auto. Both fairly good watches.
BTW, if I am not mistaken Superocean is 42 mm, so not really smaller than the Omega. It does wear a little smaller on the wrist.
I'd keep the Omega. It's a classic piece of design, the Breitling isn't.
"A man of little significance"
If the Breitling was a Colt II quartz with the brushed case I'd be keeping that, but it isn't, so I'd keep the Omega. Hope this helps
Keep whichever you like best; if unsure...sell them both.
I would keep the Breitling as it looks much better than the Omega. I only say that because I don't like the waves on the dial.
At the end of the day, the decision can only be yours.
Unless you really could use the money I’d keep both. If you can’t decide which to get rid of, you don’t want to get rid of either. I’m really not a Breitling fan but this is one of their nicer offerings. The Omaga’s a superb watch too if you like divers, and every collection needs a grab and go quartz watch (even mine!).
I'd keep the Omega. I really don't like the bezel on that Brietling.
No question in my mind. Keep the Omega.
Much prefer the Omega and every collection benefits from a good grab and go quartz. But others disagree and it sounds like you prefer the looks and comfort of the Breitling so go with what makes you happy.
I've had both in the past, and would definitely keep the Omega, they are similar in dimensions but think the Sea master wears a bit larger, and is a timeless design, l feel the Breitling is showing it's age.
On looks, Omega all the way for me, but that's purely subjective and you said you prefer the Breitling! If you're not short of other mechanical watches then being quartz would be another reason to go with the Omega for a knock-around watch though.
Cheers all.
I really like the Breitling but it does show it’s age (it’s era, anyway - condition is near mint for a 19yr old watch). It’s unmistakeable in its design, IMO - the classic Breitling bracelet, very utilitarian, and I do think something of a classic in its own right.
The SMP is undoubtedly a classic design and simple, legible, and I am quite liking the quartz (unusual for me - but it makes no “tick” and hits the seconds markers bang on, so am cool with it)
I think the Omega would win except for the size of the numerals on the bezel insert - they’re too big - even my Mrs, who knows nothing and never ever notices any watch I buy or wear, said the same today - but I’ve spotted a bezel mod to either the other style SMP bezel (the one with the skeleton hands and fancier bracelet) or the Aluminium PO bezel and I like the looks.

I have the 2254 but in an auto, I always thought the quartz version would be the perfect everyday watch as you dont have the hassle of setting the date and time but that is more to do with having lots of watches I want to wear rather than just wear the 2254 all the time!
Not a Breitling fan but I do like the one you have and I also have started to take a liking to the Aerospace versions too.
Quartz def has a strong place in my watch collection, I often cant decide what to wear and take the easy option and put this Sinn EZM 2 on, right time, right date lets go! I'd stick with the quartz 2254..

That quartz Omega is the model I was looking for in 2012 as a holiday/hobbies watch.
I couldn’t source one new(left it too late as discontinued) so bought the blue version instead. It goes without saying that I would opt to keep the Omega out of those two.
Another vote for keeping the Omega, no contest for me.
Yet again I find myself in a minority - if I was in the position of needing to part with one of those there would be no contest.
I’d keep the Breitling...
Simon
Easy one. Keep the Omega. You're right about the breitling showing it's age.
Definitely keep the Omega. A great everyday watch and a classic.
Another vote for the Omega. Classic.
Breitling.
.
I’d keep the breitling. Far more interesting to look at, you say comfier to wear and is a minute to set the time and date really that onerous a task?
Actually no, keep the omega, put the Breitling up on sales corner and I’ll get to saving furiously.... and trying to think up an excuse for yet another watch arriving. I wish. Not a chance of me getting permission for a few months now. So yes, keep the Breitling.

I'd keep the Omega, movement aside I don't think there's a single aspect of the Breitling I prefer.
The Omega will never date !
How about selling both and getting an auto 2254 and change.

I go with the Omega too. It's a much classier design in my opinion, and also has a colour matched date wheel (yay!).
For sure the Omega stays. Classic design and super comfortable.
If would definitely keep the Breitling especially after the second set of photos.
Plus it’s an auto. I think it looks very smart.
I’ve never really gotten the grab and go idea, if I’m in a hurry I could grab any auto and no matter how much of a hurry there’s always a spare min to set the thing.
