Thread: Recommend me a watch for my wife: quartz, Arabic numbers, not too small.

Recommend me a watch for my wife: quartz, Arabic numbers, not too small.

    Hello All

The Wife has a birthday coming. Her horrible Lorus that's she's has 30 years is slowly dying but it was a 18th birthday present for her dad and she likes it (or at least is largely and mysteriously indifferent to watches -- I know, I know: utterly incredible isn't it?)

It's quartz with Arabic numbers and not too small (maybe 36 or 38mm -- not a tiny ladies's thing*). She likes all three features so I'd like to replace it with something along the same lines.

So: can anyone recommend me something that might tick all three boxes?

    Thanks

    * No jokes about how much you like a tiny ladies' thing, please.

Mrs C is very taken with Citizen Eco-Drives, and not having to worry about batteries running out. I'm struggling to find one with Arabic numerals in the 36mm-38mm bracket but it might be worth a browse.

I used to have a Tissot Desire which I think ticks all the boxes. Not sure about availability, but Tissot probably have something similar in the current collection.

    Cartier Santos Quartz.

    How about a CWC G10?

it ticks all the boxes, could be a bit utilitarian though.

If she doesn't like it, you can always keep it for yourself.

My wife has bi Panthere (on leather) and bi Santos (on a bracelet) and she wears them both more than her mid size Rolex.

That is a good call! She can sign it out of stores and I'll dock her pay if she loses or damages it.

My wife wears my G10 more than I do... for ref' she has a 5.5" wrist. Likewise my 30T2, must start charging rent...

Probably too small but I bought this for my wife, it is very legible and the finish is excellent at that price.
