    Breitling Premier Chronograph

Anyone have one? I think they look great and certainly a different approach by the brand. Rather expensive, but is it worth it?

Trying to reduce my collection to 3; sports watch (Garmin), Rolex GMT and a leather watch for work. So either this or IWC Portuguesier chronograph

    Thoughts?

I tried the one in your picture last weekend and thought it was a lovely. I could be tempted, but not at £6k with discount.

I prefer the IWC Portuguese Chronograph Classic and discounts can be had on these too.

I prefer the wings, and where’s the B on the Chrono seconds hand?
    Otherwise looks good.

The Breitling company are presently in a limbo and a lot of their watches have been dumped onto the gray market by the current owners. I've seen that model for as little as £3.5K...

+1, way too big for this style of watch IMO. 38-39mm would've worked better.

What do you mean by this? I was under the impression that they were under new ownership and new management and were, for better or worse, headed in a clear direction (albeit one not making any friends here) Are things not as settled as they appear?

I saw this yesterday (it was posted yesterday)... and then I went and looked on Chrono24. (John P is a watch dealer.)

DO NOT BUY these watches NEW - Watches at fractions of retail !!!

Wow! That's an elegant looking watch. Certainly a step away from a normal Breitling look.

Under new management George Kern (of IWC fame) - seems like he’s shaking down the product line.

But I would guess that still a second hand Breitling may only reach 50% of retail.

Thanks all, my feelings exactly - very expensive for what it is.
I've got baby girl wrists so you could be right that it'd look stupid on me, will try one at the weekend and post a picture.
    The Portuguesier fits perfect though

I think this watch is stunning but as stated before a bit rich
If it started with a 4 rather than a 6 id love one
    Maybe wait for used

Its nice, but would it look better or worse as a 'Reverse' Panda dial, with black main dial and white subdials???

    Like this perhaps

If the Premier line is successful then I’m sure a reverse dial (40mm ) will come along

Btw, Breitling now have a design rule - chronographs with in house movements have contrast subdials, eg

Whereas those with ETA movements don't, eg

In house MRSP is £6,600; ETA £4950. Bracelet instead of strap, add £300.

I usually prefer reverse Pandas. I do like all the large amount of detail on the 'normal' Panda dial (ie the fussiness!), it should translate to a reverse Panda. Way outside my price range though.

I too will wait for a reverse panda, and then wait another year for them to drop into SH market, and drop 50%, Breitling being soft at the moment, despite the new management and direction.

Or buy the Tudor BB chrono for half the price but with the same movement.

I totally agree with you... but many do not like it as they cannot decide if it's a diving or a driving watch. I also think the Tudor will become a classic and retain its value over the long term.

The Panda dial looks great, for around £4K.

For a bicompax I can deal with the Tudors schizophrenia for the £££ saving against the Breitling equivalent. If I had 6k to spend on a chronograph watch it's be spent on a different watch from Breitling, the Chronomat 44 GMT.
