Enjoyed this, some lovely machinery there. Spot the BMW 2002 Turbo in the background at 9:35

I’m not much of a fan of Top Gear but will always make an exception for Chris Harris. Some very cool cars in there!

    Cheers

Neil Carey deserves a lot more recognition. He's been doing Harris's films for years, at least since they were at Drivers Republic.

Love Chris Harris, by far my most favourite motoring journalist. His passion and knowledge on cars is second to none and I have always enjoyed all of his content. Whenever I am looking at new cars I will always loon first to see if he has driven one and what he thought.

As for this clip I could watch that for hours, absolution amazing!!

Now that would be something I’d love to see. Those two petrol heads mixed with some high quality camera work, I’d watch that for hours.

I loved it when he walked past the Ferraris to talk about a Datsun. Respect.

What a great watch, you can feel his excitement and awe of having so many dream cars in front of him.I loved the Bentleys and as he said back in the day they seemed huge but by comparison today just very standard. And the condition of them all is just sublime, god knows the total value of just the ones shown?
It reminds me of the day I visited a Rolex collector who was selling a white 1680 full set on eBay. I was just starting out on the older/vintage road and when I got to his house on entering the kitchen,in front of me a table full of Rolex boxes. He said he could tell I was Rolex enthusiast and would I like to see part of his collection? I took my seat at his table and first up was all the 6 versions of the 1680 Reds absolutely full & complete sets.Zenith white Daytona inverted 6 and a black version, a stunning 1665 Great White, 16660 SD, 1675,16750 GMTs, McQueen Explorer straight seconds, all originals and full sets, tags, booklets the whole shabang, just incredible. The cases were so sharp they left imprints on your thumbs, to sit at a table and have all these in front of you is in a small way how he must of felt in that garage. I never did buy the 1680 as I asked him why he was selling and he said although it was nice he had an even better one on the way, and so a very early lesson in buying the very best whenever possible.

Great video and totally my era, luckily I still own an icon from the 80’s (E30 M3) but if I had a garage big enough and of course the money I would add a Audi UR Quattro, Lancia Integrale and Sierra RS500...

Pure car porn, being an 80s child this is the era of cars that I love. That Renault 5 is my dream car.

Not sure how, or when, but I am personal 'friends' with Chris on Bookface... probably from his PH days I suspect.

What an awesome collection of cars. Some of those interiors are proper mental.
However, I'd give up every single one of them for an F40

Is it a private collection eg Nick Mason type person or a facility for storing those cars for different owners? Also what do the 'tiles' under the tyres do? Is to prevent flat-spotting and if so how?

Think it's storage for an upcoming auction.

Tyre pillows (!) are to protect tyres when in storage.

A truely awesome collection of cars.. and plenty of German muscle which really is right up my street in motoring terms! Imagine walking into that every day and deciding which motor to take for a thrash (or waft.. as your mood takes you)? Incredible.

That's a hell of a collection. I think Chris Harris is brilliant - it's a shame he comes across a little 'wooden' on Top Gear, because he's very natural in his own stuff.

What a collection, so much fun. Surprised by his first choice, never been in a 7 Alpina - It now needs to go on the bucket list, always trust Chris Harris taste in cars.

    Excellent video.
Love the old BMW's. Had a couple of e30 325 Sports years ago. The genuine articles, both manual, Lachs silver, black head clothed beauties. Sold them for £1800 and £2000 looked at pics of them recently and could have burst out greetin'. (Greetin' = Crying, for my southern brothers!)

    That hasn’t helped.
Now looking at cars instead of motorbikes.
