This thread is amazing - well done OP! Here's my only vintage, an early 1960's Longines Jamboree

Good question. I couldn’t be absolutely certain but I suspect the Longines cal.19.4

The watch was very beautifully and sympathetically refurbished a couple of years ago by the forum’s very own Paul Walker (walkerwek1958). The crown winder was replaced and is not original, but a generic item.

I will therefore consult the oracle!

    I’ve just committed to this.

It might need a light polish but I’m pleased with the dial condition and case edge retention (from what I can see).

Let’s hope it’s a good one once I can see it in the metal.

Very nice. I’ve always had a soft spot for Cyma. My late father’s daily wearer was a Navystar. Sadly, when it ceased working, he dropped it into a charity shop rather than passing to his soon-to-be WIS son. I’ve looked for the same model since, on eBay etc, but never found one quite the same.

A couple of vintage Longines from the 1960s. The one on the left was from Neil C. in response to a WTB, probably about 10 years ago now!

some really elegant watches on this thread - I've just acquired a Flagship and waiting for it to arrive

a light polish of the case - can this easily be down at home if you are careful? - what do you need to do this - presumably a Cape Cod is not enough
