For no partiucular reason I’m just wondering what everyone makes of the new red and gold Omega Tresor 125th anniversary (some info here)?
I can’t imagine ever wearing such thing and am trying to work out who might be able to pull it off and in what context - any volunteers? And yet I am strangely fascinated by it, it reminds me of Dunhill cigarettes from the 70s, quite evocative of a particular time. Thoughts?
Looks very unusual. I certainly wouldn’t drop £13k on it. I doubt these will be flying off the shelves.
Oh, that is HORRIBLE!!! Trying to be blingy and elegant at the same time is doomed to failure.
I think it's really really nice but I'd buy it and probably wouldn't wear it even if I was given it. But there is something quite sexy about it.
I think that case and dial combination is stunning, but I would probably swap the strap out for something a little less ostentatious!
I think it looks wonderful, I'm sure there must have been a similar Russian dress watch at some point in the late 70s *takes a look*
Red and gold should be a very easy sell in China, where they seem to be almost the default colours.

Personally, I dislike the colour scheme, but in white gold with a dark blue enamel dial it would make a stunning dress watch, esp now they have (at least in this model) dropped the date from the De Ville Tresor.
I feel it looks pretty good. May be a different strap can tone it down a bit. The price is a different matter.
I must say I like it and paired perhaps with a black alligator strap, the watch would look completely different.. Not that I could afford it though...
Strange it’s one of those I like the look of but wouldn’t buy, when I think who would, ‘Gal’ Dove from Sexy Beast comes to mind.
I would be surprised if there’s a list at ADs for it. I think that’s the only positive though sadly.
In spite of myself, l like it...
... Though l can't see myself pulling it off - or dropping anywhere near that kind of money on one.
Edit:- There is actually someone who springs to mind when l wonder who a watch like that would suit. He used to be a member on here at one time. Very blingy and showy off - all cigars and daft hats...

Would not be surprised to see this on the wrist of Nicole Kidman or similar well dressed women at the Oscars.
I like it but won't buy it as id not find the occasion to wear it enough. That being said if somehow it ever popped up at half price or so in a sale of be all over it like a rash. At £13k I'd stump up an extra grand and get a lightly used Calatrava
I like it, but it does remind me of a 60s or 70s Vostok dress watch.
Style nice, colour (for a watch) horrid. IMHO.
F.T.F.A.
Super choppy!
Looks like they trying to do the Stella dial thing.
Not for me ..... but as someone has said on the wrist of some starlet at the Oscars it will look amazing.

Definitely not for me. Would only appear to go well with heavily corded trousers and some kind of smoking jacket.
What were omega smoking when they came up with the styling on this one.
I’ve narrowed down the list of possible wearers to the Monopoly Man, a Yakuza assassin, that guy from Aerosmith, and Vladimir Putin’s mistress. And Austin Powers obviously, which seems to be suggested by the text on the back.
Interesting case back. All that is krasni is not Russian or meant for Russian consumption.
One may not buy it but I can see the appeal.
It think it is nice... maybe the strap is a bit of over kill. Something more subtle could work better.
This would probably please the masses more though...
Other colour could work well too!

White gold case and that blue combo would look great.
Yep
This watch needs to go with chest hair and medalions

Actually calm that blue down a bit from the suggestion earlier in the thread and it’s looking pretty plausible, though they already have a Tresor in roughly that colour, just not in yellow gold.
