    Replacement for the Monster.

    Sadly this is another “which watch” thread. I’m lacking inspiration and I could do with a little assistance when it comes to a replacement for my trusty old Seiko Monster which is mainly used for riding my scooter around, going to the beach, and swimming - what we might call a beater - and I’m calling on the forum wisdom to make some recommendations.
    I love the Monster, but these days I simply find it much too big (blame that on my Datejust daily wearer) and I really do fancy something a little smaller, but let’s start with things I like about the Monster;

    Individuality. It’s not a homage watch in any way shape or form.
    Lume. I’ll say no more about the lume.
    Bracelet- lovely, with micro adjust and extension (not that I’ve ever used it mind you it sits on a NATO).
    Scew down crown and good water resistance.
    Day and date function is a nice bonus.

    And here’s the criteria for the replacement:

    Must be about the same price give or take) as a used Monster for when I decide to move mine on.
    36-38mm diver, and as slender as possible
    No homages.
    Auto movement.
    Must have a date function.
    Will probably be worn on a nato, but a decent bracelet would be a bonus.

    And so, over to you. I’m open to any suggestions from any brands. Thanks in advance!

    How about the citizen pro master diver? It’s a great little watch and you can pick them up for around the £200 mark
